Just seen this in the current Wellbeloved Magazine from James Wellbeloved:
A Fox terrier turned pet detective to find a missing cat.
2 yr old smooth coated terrier Doris was devastated after her playmate, a rescue cat called Max, disappeared.
After a week of unsuccessful searching by their owner in Bridgport, Dorest, it seemed he'd vanished for good.
Yet Doris refused to give up and 7 days after Max went missing, she started pulling on her lead during a walk. She led their owner towards some garage doors - and inside, very relieved to be found was Max.
Neighbour Joan Riley, a Wellbeloved reader, said: "Right at the back on a high shelf was Max, apparently none the worse for wear but very pleased to be rescued".

great story, I hate it when cats get shut in places, one of ours is terrible for doing it
