I really scared me - she is very vocal and doesn't meow like most cats - more of a vocalisation - similar to when cats have a stand-off. She was just doing it in her sleep but louder than ever. I thought she was having a fit or something - it really unnerved me :scared: - she seems fine though. Anyone elses cats do this?

I had a cat many years ago who would talk when eating :) She was stray cat which i adopted and every time i put the food down she would start talking really loud and eat at the same time, it was really funny :naughty: I guess being stray she was warning the others not to come close :evillaugh: But never had a cat who talked in her sleep.
Alice may be dreaming and talking or arguing with other cats in her dream :Luv: :Luv2:

Opened this up excitedly imagining a video :evillaugh: Next time eh Mark ;D
-
OK - next time - I was thinking today that I should walk downstairs in the morning or when I get home with the camera on as she always greets me like it :Luv2:

Skye does this sometimes Mark. I think she's dreaming and is always fine. The first time she did it I panicked a bit and woke her up. She was not impressed and immediately went back to sleep after giving me a big scowl

Smidgen mumbles in his sleep, when he is not snoring ... I think they are just having particularly vivid dreams. Obviously if it is accompanied by other symptoms get it checked out, but I would not be too concerned.

One of mu Burmese used to talk in his slep - sometimes quite loud yowls or just chirrups. He also used to give us a running commentary while eating. If the lovely Alice seems OK then I wouldn't worry Mark.

Tilly does this sometimes Mark, not often but bearing in mind she is bengal it is quite alarming and loud! she sleeps on top of our wardrobe so I always have to check she is ok and she tends to wake up

She is fine and curled up fast asleep in her bed next to me :Luv2: - we are watching all the episodes of Apparitions that we have been recording :)

Lexy talks in her sleep, the little feet go crazy too :evillaugh:

that made me laugh out loud I can just image her
Byron does that Mark very loudly and I've run into the other room and found her fast asleep, both Schui and Byron run lots in their sleep and when I have 1 either side of me on the sofa I get a good massage :evillaugh: Schui also makes mouth movements like he's eating :evillaugh:

Well she enjoyed her nap :Luv2:

Smudge used to do what I called a purry meow which was quite loud but Bonnie takes after me and she is very very quiet. OK she doesn't take after me :evillaugh:

That last photo definitely gives me thoughts of catnapping - if only I could persuade Sophie another girl in the house would be a good thing - some hope!

She wasn't very vocal but I turned the camera on last night. No light but better than nothing (OH was watching last week's X-factor)
