This section tells you how to send your money for your won item/s.
Please ensure that all money is paid by 1900 on 14th December at the latest, as we would like all items to be received before Christmas and Paws Inn to get the money as fast as possible.
Last posting dates for xmas are
Wednesday 15th December Standard Parcels
Thursday 18th December Second Class
Saturday 20th December First Class
There are two ways you can pay for your winning auction items:- Via paypal with a card / paypal account or by cheque.
If you won more than one item and are paying by paypal please pay in total for all your items in one transaction as paypal charges the receiver of the money a set fee per transaction plus a small percentage of the total.
By paypal using a bank or credit card or paypal account
Please Click on the donate button at the bottom of the purrs forum pages.
This will take you direct to a secure paypal payments page to pay to Donations@purrsinourhearts where we can collect the auction money. See diagram 1 below
- Enter the amount you are paying for all your wining items which will include any postage costs shown on each of your won auction items.
-Then click the UPDATE button underneath the amount box.
If you have a paypal account, log in by entering your paypal deatlis in the Log Into Paypal box
If you do not have a paypal account, please click the continue text link on the left hand side.
Follow the paypal instructions to proceed.
Once you get to the Review your payment page, please click Add a Note and type in the word Auction and your Purrs name as shown on the forum.
See Diagram 2 below.
Click the orange donate now button to complete your auction payment.
Pay by Cheque
Cheques are to be sent direct to Paws Inn. Please pm Tan and i will reply with the address the chq should be sent to.
Please Make all cheques payable to - Paws Inn Cat Rescue
We need to wait till Paws Inn has told us your cheque has cleared before giving the go ahead for your won item/s to be posted to you by the auctioneer. Please add a note with the payment saying which item/s you are paying for and your Purrs name.
Once your payment has been recived, Tan will post on each item thread to say that the money has been paid. Only then will the auctionner be able to dispatch your winning items.
Please PM the auctioneer of your item/s give her them your postal name and address to send them to.
All auctioneers please wait for this payment confirmation to be posted on your auction threads before you dispatch any items. Please remember to get a certificate of posting

if we have won a few auctions i presume we can add them all into one transaction, just adding a note in the box to say what we have won. can we also add in any extra donation?
thanks

Sorry for being dense but do I add in the money for name a cat and paws inn to the same transaction?
-
Do we mark as "gift"? on paypal
-
yes dancer and cc, just rember to put in your puurs name in the message and what item/s it is for.
CC I am on a borrowed lappy at moment ansd away from home and cant do messages at present, sorry
-
From looking at Paypal, if you pay from an existing balance and use the send money to a friend/personal option then there shouldn't be any charges deducted. If you pay by Credit or debit card then you can pay the fee at your side to enable Paws to get more money. I'm not sure whether it is ethical given that most payments are purchases - Paypal may get suspicious if the account suddenly receives a lot of money into it as personal transfer!

i think you can put it as a purchase ot donation or gift.dont know if it matters to paypal and cat check from where i am
-
This site shows you how much people will get after fees are deducted and how much you shold pay if you want them to get a certain figure after fees are deducted:

Thanks for posting that link! ;)
The Paypal link at the bottom of the page sets it up as a donation, so you don't have to select whether its a gift etc. It's all done for you ;)
-
~When sending as a donation, do you have fees involved for receiving it? I want to make sure all money goes to rescue and Paypal don't take any of it! :)
-

Nope just pop a note in the Add a note part saying your purrs name and "Auction"
-
anyone worried about the morality of this ... you are making a donation - the charity is receiving money in return for goods donated on its behalf. The person offering the goods does not receive payment - there is no purchase here ... at least as far as the recipient of the money is concerned. ;D
-

Yes there will be some fees off the money coming in . If you would like to add on 3.2% plus 20p to your total that will cover the fees. ;D

Hi hun great plan but sadly we will get into trouble at paypal if personal is selected as this is for strict family or self use only.

nothing has changed that I know of, and there is certainly sufficient funds in the account it is linked to, so am logging out and having another go. Will rely on T to refund any accidental extra payments, lol

I have my email address saved to the account, so know which one to use. I have just had to change my password (yet again) because i had forgotten what it was, maybe i have to wait 24 hours or something? Their help desk is useless as it uses jargon, so will have another go. If all else fails, I will pop a cheque in the mail tomorrow afternoon. Sorry for this messup - there are times when I hate technology...
-
Ok no worries hun.
Let me know and i will pm you with the addy to send the chq to Paws Inn
xxxxxx
-
BC I had to change my password too and mine went through ok.
Tan I have added in a little extra to cover the fees
-
I too have had a problem trying to pay via PayPal. I don't have a Paypal account so I filled in the amount and all my card details then pressed review payment and continue and everything hung up. I waited for ages but then the page went blank and still nothing happened. I hate it when that sort of thing happens - my card details could be floating around in the ether somewhere and I've no idea whether I have paid anything. I suspect not. I'll leave it and try again tomorrow.
-
Oh :censored:. Stupidly I tried again and the same thing happened. So now I may or may not have paid twice
-
not had anything through yet for ya hun so i would hang on till tomorrow and see if i get any payments through
xx
-
Right, well I have sent funds via the donation button below. I sent £100.00, but it did not seem to provide anyopportunity to indicate who it was from. Sorry
I will forward the confirmation email to you Tan, so that you know who it came from (hopefully).
what a messy business, will have to see what has happened in my account ...
