Well this is what greeted me as I went through the door at my first cat-sitting customer....Harry's been at it again (yes, he's the same one who did a disappearing act on me last time LOL) It was one big pigeon - I would sort of liked to have been a fly on the wall watching him getting it through the cat flap. Yes that is the culprit's tail in view.... :evillaugh:

I've had an idea for a film starring the recalcitrant Harry :evillaugh: We could call it Home Alone Harry...

would be interesting to see what else he gets up to! I suppose the cat sitter gets to clean up is that right Gillian?

Tomorrow is the last day - he can't do anything worse surely?!!! :evillaugh: and yes, I had to get the hoover out but of course I have the photographic evidence to show them when they get back LOL!

Hare to break it to you but Fredcat has TWICE brought in live pheasants an not only have we had to clean up the feathers but attempt to catch the :censored: birds!

Ive spied two cat tails in the picture, a stripy one just by the table leg so are you sure its Harry :sneaky: I came home to a similar scene not so long ago but never found the body
-
Aw... Harry is such a naughty boy for you Gillian and he had us all worried when he went missing and now this. Mind you I suppose the feathers were better than the rest of the bird

Awww :Luv: The amount of times we have come home to this :evillaugh: You can't help but admiring them a little for it, especially when they look so satisfied and happy with themselves!! Jameson brought a huge pigeon through his flap once, it was bigger than him! I was in the bathroom but heard the catflap, then silence, then a few bangs... and came out to find my lounge looking like a battleground!! Feathers everywhere, half dead pigeon, pleased cat and OH away! I had to do the deed... it was painful!!

Poor Gilian - have you found any innards yet?
Isn't there one bit they don't eat?
I have to admit, it one of the down sides of owning cats. I get so angry with Kylie and refuse to feed her any treats or fish afterwards (although she is none the wiser)
-
When you go back it will be one naked bird flapping around the house
-
Oh believe me I found the body, but I spared you that picture!
and I know it was Harry - he is renowned for his hunting skills :evillaugh: He came in with a live mouse the night before, which I managed to rescue (and it was putting up quite a good fight itself - feisty little thing!) - oh, hang on, I'm seeing what I've done here.........took the little mousey off him last night - he pays me back with the big bird.......

the beak I think :( that's thing I hate about cats it upsets me, but that's life I suppose

We have an enclosed alley and there was a cat last year that got over and caught a pigeon. All I could see was loads of feathers, the wings and something that looks like a heart
-
Yep, I get upset when it's young birds or once I saw dove feathers and I know there were 2 doves coming into the garden (as they always do) it made me :'( when only 1 came
-
We have had a pair of collared doves for the last few years who have disappeared recently. I am beginning to suspect Justin and Jermemy, 2 sister that are always around - I have just fed them this morning.
-
:Luv: Are they neighbour's cats?
-
Yes - the story is, they first appeared about 18 months ago and kept begging for food. I was talking to my neighbours Jon & Daph 3 doors up who said they belong to someone they know in a side street off the High Street where we live. Jon and Daph had been feeding them and even allowing them in their house after their cat Gershwin died. Soe time later, they tried adopting a cat after someone died. They were keeping the cat in and stopped feeding J&J ( :( ) - I informed him they were girls :evillaugh: - anyway, they are always around and always after food. AFAIK, the owner is a bit of a hippy type with loads of cats. He makes and teaches guitar apparently. I know some say you shouldn't feed cats in case they are on prescription food. You can tell these 2 aren't just chancers but genuinely hungry. I would be surprised if they even get proper vet treatment, let alone prescription food. One of they was begging to come in the house the other day when it was raining - obviously I couldn't allow it but I can't begrudge them the odd plate of food. I give then RC sensible 33.
