Hi everyone,
Thanks to Purrs I have a cat to call my own! Olive was a stray taken in to the vets where half her fur had to be shaved off and they found she only had one tooth...I have had her for 2 weeks now and love her to bits; she is very affectionate although completely deaf so I have to be careful not to scare her! She is always purring and is doing so well. This photo is from her first day in her new home!
Thanks for such a great forum, I always find the answers to my questions on here!

Thank you! They guessed she might be around 10-15 years old. As she puts on weight and gets more steady on her feet she is seeming younger by the day! I don't think we'll ever really know though...
Does anyone else have a deaf cat? I seem to keep scaring her, when I am there unexpectedly she makes a worried miaowing sound! Any ideas?

She's lovely :Luv2: - my old girl Elsa (she was 20 yrs old when she died) was deaf, and she used to make weird yowling sounds, although that was also partly due to hyperthryoidism.
