Title: boosters
Post by: Dawn F on February 12, 2007, 08:21:51 AM
I have four cats and a cat proof garden, do my cats need all their boosters or could I just get the air bourne things done?  I'm a bit worried as it is almost time for Oscar to have his boosters but last time he had them and when he had his program injection he was ill for a few days - what do people think??

Cat flu and enteritis are airborn diseases so it is a good idea to have boosters for those.

I have indoor cats but they have boosters to cover the airborn diseases

If you ever want to put them in a cattery you'll need to have the basics done.  Mine are indoor cats but I have the basic flu and enteritis vaccs done.

mmm that's a good point, they've never been in a cattery as we have a very good neighbour but I suppose in an emergency they might have to

It's good to keep up with the boosters just in case, my vet always says they might be a little unwell after the jabs for a few days.

I personally would have Flu and Enteritis done.
FeLV is the other one which you prob dont need as they have a cat proof garden
