I've only ever heard of bad luck or good luck - didn't realise there was so much info.  My mum is English and my dad was Latvian so it was nice to see Latvia was mentioned.

I had my Smudge for 14 years and I reckon he gave me some good and all the bad I had was brought on by myself or other people.

Strange how people think one black cat looks like another but they really don't.  When my Smudge went missing Sept. 2007 I had calls from so many people and just one quick glance at them and I could say 'no it's not him' straight away.  People were shocked that I could tell so soon.
Bless 'em all.  :Luv2:

I can't see the site as I can't seem to get into anything but purrs at the moment

I have read about the French priests throwing black cats off the belfry in mediaeval times. They also did it here in Allbrighton (in the Midlands)

All come in different shapes and sizes with green eyes and amber eyes and they don't look alike even in the dark!

There are two all- black cats on the road I live on and i'll often stop and stroke them and chat as well. One of them is definatley magical!

Just so you know not all witchs familiars are black cats.   :evillaugh: Keli is a familiar particulary for my OH. She adores his 'working' sword Corr O'Laoghain (translates to grey crane or crane of the river) and always shows an interest. Yes we are both pagan, but our cats don't ride on our broomsticks!  :evillaugh:

My Suki & Cleo were both Black and White beauties, Jade was a gorgeous little purr monster and Sam, he was black slinky, mischievious and never really got over the fact that his adopted mum (cleo) wouldn't let him rule.  My current cat, Jake, on the other hand is big, black, chunky and relatively laid back, giving you luck, only if it means stepping over him as he lies sleeping in front of the fire.  The fact that every cat I have ever been owned by was black is purely coincidental.  Jake has just jumped up to check that I am not casting aspersions upon his character.
