Title: My bright eyed happy girl Alice
Post by: Mark on November 16, 2008, 10:44:44 AM
I was watching her casually washing herself after removing nice firm "solids" from her tray. She now has soft, shiny fur and is really confident. So far removed from the little girl who less than a year ago, had dull, greasy fur and sat in a corner looking dejected. Now she is a very vocal, confident lady who headbutts me for fusses and has become very vocal. She purrs as soon as anyone is near and you can hear her across the room - oh and no more brown puddles in the tray   :Luv2:

The pics aren't that great as I didn't use the flash - I just enhanced them.

I am - she is mesmerising. I have to be careful not to forget the others  :evillaugh:

It's funny how torties look so grumpy though - she isn't grumpy at all  :Luv2:

I am still amazed that when she used to be sick a lot, she always went in the bathroom to do it - so unlike Willow who seems to carefully choose hard-to-clean places to throw up  :evillaugh:

That's lovely Mark and she has fab markings on her nose - so sweet  :Luv: that change in cats is so rewarding isn't it? I was cuddling Schui the other day like a baby and was just saying a few years ago he would sit alone on the settee and wouldn't hardly approach us and would lash out for no reason.  He is not like that now, infact the most loving cat we've had so it just goes to show that alot of tlc goes a long way.

I am pretty confident she is OK now. I worried for the longest time when the vet said the cancer could return  :(

She really went through the wars and looked so sad with her shaved belly after her ultrasound.

You can see how big the gash is - it was a big tumour.
