A lovely, large black and white boy (wondering if black and white boys are more prone to being large!!!), who at the age of 6 was left outside to fend for himself when his owners moved. He is happy being fussed, but avoiding food at the moment, bless him. He has had an unsettling day, so wont worry just yet, but he does have a broken fang, so if no better by Mon, will be ringing the vets in case it is a tooth problem rather than just a new environment. Pics will follow

poor Harry but luckily in your safe hands now :)
-
poor wee man. bet he's glad of a nice warm bed and roof over his head though Desley bless him
look forward to the piccies.
-
Poor Harry, glad he's found his way to you. Looking forward to the pics ;D
-
Hope harry settles well and that his fang is not a problem
I have a giant B&W boy and the first one I knew in London was also a giant ;D
-
Glad Harry's safe with you now. Looking forward to pictures!

I dont think his tooth will be that much of a problem, he has eaten this morning after I swapped bowls - typically he is a bigger dry food fan than wet food, which isn't going to help much on the weight loss side. He is rather nervous, bless him, so I just sat and read to him last night, and found him on the windowsill this morning, so I put his blanket on there for him, camera batteries have died though, so will have to wait till they are charged. He is the 25th foster this year, and we still have another 4 weeks before we officially close, so if someone gets rehomed, that figure could still go up.
-
awww, bless him I like the idea of you reading to him :Luv: 25 is good going, will you foster for someone else then Desley?
-
not sure if he did, there is a lot of swearing in this book I picked up!! It is to say I wanted a quieter year than last year, which was 21. JEannie is through a different rescue, but there are 6 in the house at the moment and only 5 rooms, so someone has to find their new home before I Can help anymore. Poor Phoebe has been here since August, so I would love it if she could get a home before Christmas.
-
Have you put Phoebe in the cats needing homes bit, Desley? You never know someone might see her and fall in love!
-
Fingers crossed on rehoming before Christmas and it would be nice for Phoebe
-
She is on here somewhere, I stopped on the TopCats page cos I didnt know what she was like with children. I have done posters with her and Socks, our other long staying female, and e-mailed loads of people as well as posting some out with our newsletter!! Just had a call from someone interested in a female, but she woudl prefer Socks, which is fine by me.
-
poor Harry - dumped at 6 :( still can't comprehend how/why someone would do that - no wonder he's nervous. Good that he's now safe with you.
-
Glad that little lad has found his way to you Desley, can't wait to see some pics :)

I Can't understand why people woudl do it, but there is no point dwelling on it, can use my energies much better. One of Rachel's fosters is being rehomed next weekend, so I am debating asking her to take Harry on, gives me one room in the house without any cats in then!!
-
WEll, Harry might be going to Rachel's next week as we have been asked to take in a deaf and partially blind cat who was found wandering the streets, she is currently at the vets, as initially the RSPCA said they would help, now she got the cat at the vets, they have said they will pts if they take it, so surprisingly she said no and rang us!! She is a little tabby and white apparently, another old cat. So when she comes, there will only be Phoebe under the age of 10, I will have another houseful of oldies, but I dont mind.
-
lots of oldies :Luv2:
-
Yep, good job I love em!!

Harry went to Kelly's last weekend, to make room here for Norman. Socks went to her new home last weekend, and I took Phoebe to her new home today, she has gone to live in a residential home of all places - she adores sitting on people's knees and getting fuss, so this way there will be someone there 24/7 and the residents are used to a cat about the place, as one of the residents came with one, who has sadly just passed away. Really big building, with a nice enclosed courtyard (although it isn't near a busy road anyway, it is a few streets off the main road), I am sure she will love it - I actually did take some pics of her exploring her 'safe room'.
-
Please any pictures of Harry
-
Only took one I'm afraid.
-
awww bless isn't harry gorgeous! :Luv2:
-
Hehe, he looks a little grumpy. But lovely.
-
He's lovely !
-
What a good looking boy bless him.
-
Yep, good job I love em!!
me too! :Luv:
Harry is lovely and new home sounds ideal for Phoebe :)
-
He is, and we may have a home for him, but the person isn't moving for another few weeks.
I shall be doing a follow up on Phoebe tomorrow (always leave them a week first), but am sure she will be fine. I do only have a houseful of oldies now!!
-
oh that'd be great news Desley!
