As I am a confirmed addictive cat bed buying person I was wondering if anyone else shared the same condition!!
Bought 3 this week as I have six cats & hoped that they would stay in warm snuzzy fluffy beds until morn instead of pinning me down at each side of the duvet that moving is impossible!
Nope! Not worked!
Had a count up & now have 6 loose beds & 3 in trees & a three tier scratcher bed arriving soon.
Do any of you have this problem or am I the only one that has virtually little sense when it comes to beds for babes?
Might have to join a self help group!!
-
I'm banned from buying any :( I used to, all our other cats used beds but not these 2, I would like to try but there's some in the garage and I gave alot to rescues. I was only looking in PAH the other day and could just imagine Byron in but I was dragged away :-:
Do you know Schui has just stretched out and his claw has scratched my n key off my puter :naughty: hope it will fix back on.
-
Should just click back on ;D
-
Ashamed to say only have 4 but one is 2 storey ;) two are in pretty constant use
-
Have five loose beds, a banana leaf catosphere from PAH, two beds in trees, and four sleeping pads of various sizes on top of wardrobes, bookcases etc. They all get used at one time or another by both my cats.
-
I didn't think I was but counted recently and have eight - and just two cats :-[ Have just bought another radiator bed too :-[
-
This is one addiction I don't have cos I know my boys will always prefer
my our bed or the sofa over cat beds ;D
My addiction of choice is cat food :-[
-
Should just click back on ;D
yup it did with a bit of prodding thanks :)
-
Think I am a cat bed addict, I have four currently plus two in a cat tree and have given 6 away to friends and neighbours. Still look though
-
One cat = 7 beds. Uses... 2 :-[
-
I dont go for beds much, and most of the ones here have been donated, think there are about 8, although 2 are in the wardrobe. The favourite places to sleep are windowsills (all bar 1 have a cushion/bed to sleep on, sofa, and of course my bed. Kizzy also likes the ironing board, so there is a blanket on there - previous fosters have preferred the stairs. The girls are going to get reflective blankets for X Mas.
Cat food is a much more serious issue.

Oh dear if we're going to include those given away and the radiator bed..... well I always knew I had an addictive nature ;D Nothing wrong with looking :shify:

Byron likes the ironing board Desley - have a pic somewhere ;D

I have 12 for four cats....and have just bought one specifically for Old Mog. :shy: (It's heated and she's 19 next year - I figure she might need it.)
-
Around 15+ beds and pads for 4 cats. Without counting, in the basement alone, there are 2 beds (one heated) and 3 pads - One of them is a dog bed/pad type thing I got yesterday for Alice to look out of the back window.
-
I don't have that many beds really. I've got 2 radiator beds so that whoever is sleeping on it can stretch out (so effectively it's 1 bed), a plastic dog bed and Pinball has decided he likes to sleep in the kittening pen. Mine usually sleep on the laminate floor though.
Not sure if it counts as separate beds or not but for lining the plastic dog bed I've got an IKEA dog bed (although 99% of the time they kick it out and just sleep straight on the plastic) and I've got vetbed, flectabedding and blankets for lining the kittening pen with.
-
I'm going to put a cat bed in the auction - this seems to be the right place to promote it :evillaugh:
-
Ive got 4 cats and 4 beds they only use the radiator ones and much prefer our bed or the 1 on the cat tree, My addiction is cat toys they have a whole box full everytime i go out i end up buying them something ;D

Evil temptress! My partner would throw a fit if I bought any more I think. ;)

So would mine even though we havent got that many but the amount ive donated to CP and given to my mum is unbelivable lol
-
I actually lied this morning - forgot there are 2 igloo beds and 2 floor cushion type beds (both dog beds actually - although thinking of throwing one away, it is years old and doesn't get used anymore), and there is something else that Moses used as a bed, but nobody else did.
-
Too many to count !!!
Let me see- 8 scratcher/climbers -7 with beds attached , 1 cardboard box with a fleece in , my lovely comfy computer chair with fleece on that FiFi has claimed , 1 wicker chair , with fleece, 1 hammock, 1 igloo, 1 fully heated bed, 1 cat tent, 3 snuggle beds, 2 other round dog type beds with heat pads in , 1 house shaped bed , 1 kitchen chair with fleece on - think thats it for inside !!
Outside- 3 cat houses with windows and vet bedding + fleece on top as they dont like the feel of the vet bedding !?
3 outside scratchers !
Not bad for 5 cats - and they swap round and everything gets used and slept in + my bed as well !
-
One cat bed an a hammock on the tree - and all four want to get in the hammock! :tired:
-
Oh yeah - two of the posts have beds, not that they get used.
-
Spend ages on e-bay too looking for different beds!
At least we are not alone!
-
My weakness is cat litters............................I really o need to get out more! :tired:
-
One tree, one bed in a wardrobe, one cushion in a wardrobe, one furry igloo that I made - and only one cat! My thing is fleece blankets for her, I have loads. Her particular favourite is one I got in Tescos, although I have now seen them in other places - it's sort of a cross between fleece and faux fur and Silvie absolutely loves it. She does that pounding thing with her paws and claws every time she sets foot on it.
Having bought a sewing machine earlier this year, I'm going to have a go at making a few more things for Silvie and the guinea pigs. A much betters ense fo satisfaction than giving all my hard earned to PAH, even if they don't sit in/on them!
:)
-
We have none as there is no point - Jameson will only sleep on the bed or the sofa. But at least he goes on his snuggly blankets so it's easy to wash/remove fur etc.
-
Thought you might like to see my new 3 tier beds
-
I love that! :shify: D'you think my partner would notice one of those? :evillaugh:
Old Mog used the heated bed today and the smell from the plug seems to have calmed down which is good!
-
Thought you might like to see my new 3 tier beds
Looks like someone's been investing in Russell Hardy!
Don't blame you - I went for his Colossus, and my sister is tempted by the Martello bed tower you have, but is afraid her BSH girls would each lean out of the bed they were occupying and swat the next cat down....
-
I have one like that only with 2 beds and the similar one with ladders , but not a barrel as they dont use them .
Also bought another bed off ebay today !
-
I have the Colossus Kacinta & thats in my bedroom. I do have 6 cats though!!!
Smelly plug Jack.. ew like fish!
We might have OCD with beds Bunglycat... do you think??
-
lovely to see them all happy in their beds :Luv2:
-
  yes , i am sure i have - it seems to go in phases - scratching posts, beds , cat dishes, heat pads , food etc etc.
I know i have 5 cats -but i only lodge here !! Talk about spoilt - Winston has even had breakfast in bed on several occasions !!
When i get round to starting on myself it goes a bit the same -only cheaper - slippers , hot water bottles , socks, underwear, t-shirts, etc .
Must admit - i have had some really lovely cat beds off ebay though and not expensive either- usually around £16 delivered.
-
:evillaugh: Schui gets food on a tray on the sofa when he's poorly and he will eat then, he loves to be hand fed :Luv:
-
Winston goe his in bed as i had to go out early and he hadn''t come downstairs , so i didn't want him to be hungry as i would be out 4-5 hours !
Have you seen the size of him in the pics  don''t think he is likely to starve ;D
-
Hi I have four cats and three beds!! I know I sound meanbut I have two others in the shed. They only like the fleace bed (bought in NEC Cat show I might add), the sheepskin pretend bed and the cat scratcher bed that doubls as a lookout post, back stretcher and gym. The bathroom sink makes a good bed and so does my bed. They are partial to the top of the kitchen cupboards and the top of my wardrobe. Saying that, I would like a chili bed from TK Maxx and an igloo bed might go down well.
-

Despite my cat to bed ratio being 4:1 I feel the need for an igloo bed too, am resisting for now but I wouldn't be surprised if they had one for before Xmas :evillaugh:
-
I got a fabulous igloo bed off ebay -the lady that does them is really reasonable and they are really well made - i bought a big one -but its big ! You would get a medium size dog in it comfortably , small is purrrrrfect size .
Can send details if anyone is interested and she does them in your choice of colour- they are made of fleece and quite sturdy too.
-
2 cats 8 beds...4 of them receive regular use though so not a bad ratio :evillaugh: Milly's night time preference at present is on one of my screwed up old jumpers next to the bed. Put a nice snuggly cosy cat basket right next to it, has she slept on it? Nope of course not
-
I currently have 3 beds for 2 cats but I want to get them another one for Christmas - was going to give one of the other beds that they don't really use to the Edinburgh Cat and Dog Home if they wanted it along with some unused toys/tree scratcher.
-
I saw a nice furry igloo bed in scats today and couldn't resist. Willow loves being enclosed and as she is poorly...........
She was in it in seconds and now curled up zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing
-
I saw Sasa sitting in the new cat bed last night yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Must take the radiator bed off the table and take it upstairs , just I dont want anything blocking heat from radiators right now!
-
http://www.petspantry.tv/acatalog/pet-igloos.html
The one I got Willow is the Pet House small igloo - only it was £19.95 in SCATS
-
I have two expensive wicker beds on top of the wardrobe - the cattery likes to have these sent with the cats - and they both climb up to them regularly
but I find the best bed is a single duvet, for £10 from Argos - I fold it over lengthways and put it on my bed during the day, and move it to the sofa when I go to bed - as well as being washable (I put a cover on it) and cheap it has the advantage that they can crawl inside if it's cold
-
I'm about to give up on beds for everyone :scared:
Memphis consistently ignores his 3 beds, instead he chooses to mostly sleep on Molly's bed, my clothes/blanket or my bed.
Molly consistently ignores her bed, choosing to sleep on the furniture. Apparently the floor just won't do :-:
Mig has one of Mollys old beds (which she didn't use) outside in his run.
And then because Memphis' beds remain unused this happens ...

Soooooo I have a dog who sleeps on the human things, a cat that sleeps on dog beds and a rabbit who prefers both cat and dog beds and wees on his own [he has a really lovely handmade quilted hammock and refuses to use it] :scared:
Maybe if I label them they will all use their own beds instead of each others ...
I must say though I do love the black camouflage Igloo bed :shify:
-
The newest bed this week is.........
-
Here is Willow's latest. She has a heated bed and a cow print chillicat donut bed in the bedroom, a donut bed in the dining room, another donut bed in the basement and now this  - that is without all the beds the others have  - I think this will be a favourite being enclosed. She does like the heated bed that she inherited from Alice. If I find a heated igllo, she will be over the moon :evillaugh:
PS - Love the pic Den :Luv2:
-
Love that bed Mark. Really plush.
Just counted & have 11 beds + sofas & my bed, all for 6 cats!

Funny but it wouldn't scan. The man asked his supervisor what to do. She looked it up in a book and said it was a Large animal house. I laughed and said no way was it large as Willow is tiny and would just fit in it. She agreed and said it must be marked wrong and it is a small. I just looked at the tag and it is Large - apparently. SO I got a £36 bed for £20 ;D - I can't inagine how small a small would be in that case

funny i saw thins link thisevening cause i have had this exact converstion with my cousin today cause she was admiring the boys donut bed so i took her to the factory shop near my house and she bought anoter cat bed ! :evillaugh:

-

-
The 'dog' in the attic has been removed now Milly.

Well Willow came down this morning and headed for her new bed :Luv2: - It beats her burrowing under the fleece on the sofa as I always forget she is there and sit on her :-[
-
The new bed is a firm favourite :) - Last night she was sitting on OHs chest, which can be a bit annoying when you are trying to do something on the laptop. She kept eyeing the igloo and ending up spending the whole night in it :Luv2:

awww Willow :Luv2: I don't think I've seen a really close up of her and she does look so happy in that lovely bed :Luv2:
We bought Byron an igloo bed a couple of weeks back from PAH which she loves - I'll post a pic later, but I do like Willows Mark it looks so cosy.
I have given so many beds away in the past to rescues, I still have a couple in the garage, a wicker one and a large one (which Smokey and Timmy used) and a donutty type one.
-
I still can't work out how they can call it a large when it is the right size for a 2.5kg cat  - unless the manufacturer put the wrong tag on it, which is unlikely?
She loves it so much that she didn't even follow me to bed last night. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing. :evillaugh:
Cats aren't silly and I can't blame her for staying in the warmest, cosiest place :Luv2:
-
It does look nice and small, wish I'd seen that one it ticks all the right boxes small opening, very cosy lining and looks good :)
-
It's like a gient fluffy slipper :evillaugh:
