Title: Acclaim or Indorex?
Post by: tigerbaby on October 30, 2008, 15:02:54 PM
I need an indoor spray for the sofa/cat bedding as every so often I see fleas on Jameson blankets even though he has been de-flead. I understand these are fleas from the eggs/larvae from the bedding, and not actual fleas he has got from being outdoors.

When we first got him (and didn't know better) I bought this Bob Martin stuff ''Flea Kill'' - shake on powder stuff you have to leave on carpets/blankets for 30 minutes then hoover off. It seems to take forever and not do a lot of good.

I heard Indorex and Acclaim are good indoor sprays. Couldn't find Indorex at my local Boots, but they had Acclaim at £12.99 a bottle. How much is Indorex, and what is the difference between those two? (if there is a difference)

Which ones do you use, pros and cons?

Thanks

I used Acclaim earlier on in the year when there was a flea problem. I can't fault it as haven't seen a flea since  :wow: And it was my first experience with a house hold flea product.

My Vet sells both Acclaim and Indorex so I should think they are both good, last time I used Indorex.

Both are equally as good I think, 1 may last longer than the other i cant remember.  Just remember to either dispose of your hoover bag or spray it aswell.

I use Indorex as it says it's the only one to kill dust mites, which can only help my asthma, and is also the only one that is stable in UV sunlight.  They're both the same price (£10.46 inc free delivery at vetuk) so I don't think it makes much difference which one you go for.

Indorex is the one I go for....it's de-flead the new tenants room which was crawling (this was before she joined us), not a single flea left.

I buy 2 cans at a time and this is more than enough for a 3 bed mid terraced house with a little left over in case Z brings a few more friends home  :tired:

I buy mine via mine via vetuk as it's the best price i've found..and we musn't forget that kitties benefit  ;)
