She said that if my flat purchase fell through she'd buy me a tent for Christmas, I told her only to do so if she wanted to loose a friend on Boxing Day ;D

dare I ask how that is going Leigh??

Hi Dawn,
Everything is progressing slowly but shurely in the right direction thanks. I had the valuation report yesterday and should have the mortgage fully arranged in the next few days so hopefully the ball is rolling now. There's still a fair way to go but, with the flat being vacant possesion, I'm hoping that things can progress fairly quickly and my hope is to have a completion date that'll permit a move by the end of January at the latest.
Cheers

Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you hun :)
If there's one good thing about a bad market, you know you will have the estate agent's undivided attention, as they all want the sales to actually go through!!!

excellent news! - good point Clare

Absolutely hun,
I spoke to a desperate sounding estate agent yesterday evening who must have sent me 20 e-mails / voicemails etc. to tell him I'd found a place and you could hear the dissapointment in his voice, he asked if I had a solicitor etc. I told him I did and he sounded even more dissapointed that he couldn't even get a few quid for putting some trade the way of their favourite one. Normally, round here with the property prices being astronomical they don't even bother to give you a call when your spending what I'm spending but it's a totally opposite situation at the moment, they're desperate, my heart bleeds must hurt filling up your Porsche and dry-cleaning your Armani suit ;D ;D
Cheers

Come come Leigh, you know estate agents drive Audi TTs :naughty:
Or if you're like me, a bloomin Ford Ka :-:
-
things have changed they drove astras in my day!!
-
Not round here they don't, one was driving a Porsche and another a Merc soft-top and the third a BMW :P ;D
-
well it was 1991 that I left - and the last recession - we read a lot of magazines!

Maybe Woking is a bit more pikey then  Most of them seem to drive Focus's as they're cheap for the company's to buy, and Foxtons have Mini's I think.
Know what you mean about having time on your hands Dawn, I know I certainly have a bit more time to spare to peruse the lovely Purrs ;) :)
