Nothing prepares you for when it’s time.
That moment when you know
All is hopeless
All that’s left is suffering
That sweet head laid low
Eyes looking sullen and sad
You see the signs
But it just can’t be
But it is. It’s time
Suddenly it’s crept up
Not enough warning
Never enough
Its time to be brave
To show how much you really care
To give that final gift of love
That scars you forever
So cherish the time you have
Each sweet moment together
The special bond you have
With one another
Show them how much they mean to you
Appreciation for the unconditional love they give
How beautiful and special they are
Never faulting in their love for you
Because one day. Its time
And although you will never be ready
The memories are there forever
And the bond will never be broken
This is written in memory of all the fur babes
Who we have loved and lost
For as it was once said
It was better to have loved and lost
Than to never have loved at all
