Just couldn't resist posting pic of this little one who arrived this morning filthy, dehydrated and suffering from cat flu. Vet named him Pierre, he weighs just 330 grams; he has an undershot jaw and protruding breast bone and is very shaky, hopefully this will be down to malnutrition and come right; theres something about him that makes you fall in love with him at first sight. I think he`s scrubbed up nicely too.
He was found lifeless on a factory site, one sibling is already dead, I am doing all I can to gain access but have been told it will be Monday before man who feeds them will be available, talk about banging your head against a brick wall.
-
Im in love - he is so adorable and those eyes :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Teresa, this poor little sausage is beautifl. Just beautiful...! :Luv2: Am glad he has you and Pedro and Minimopsical there to keep your eyes on him.
-

I disagree. It's everything about him.
I hope you can see him right and rescue the survivors of his family.
-
What a little love. :Luv: Protruding breastbone - is that due to lack of food? Am wondering because Old Mogs breast bone protrudes but she looks in generally pretty good shape for 18.
-
Oh T :Luv:
Pierre is gorgeous :Luv:
-
:catluv: If only...
-
What an adorable little one!
He's going to have all of us wrapped around a paw.

Jaw and breastbone is down to interbreeding.
-
What does a protruding breast bone look like?

What does a protruding breast bone look like?
I felt it rather than saw it and my powers of description are somewhat lacking other than to say the sternum juts out . It does protrude in older cats too.
-
Phew, thought I was imagining it. Old Mog also walks with a slightly arched back now, which I assume is also age related.
Pierre is such a sweetie, bet he's settling in now. :)
-
We are certainly a lot less worried about brain damage tonight, had a feeling his tremors were down to malnutrition, he is still having difficulty standing but will probably be running me ragged before long.
-
Aww, bless him. I am sure he will come round quickly with your love and care T
-
Ickle baby looks like a baby Pippa with a bigger splodge on his nose :Luv2:
-
How is Pierre doing today?
-
He's so lovely :Luv2:

How is Pierre doing today?
Christine he`s a different kitten already, his shakes have virtually gone and he is able to walk, hes eating really well and is much brighter. His little chest is still rasping though, you can feel it when you pick him up as well as hearing it. We had to get cross with his old friends the flea family today who despite treatment 24hours earlier were still loitering with intent, the penalty for this ..crunch  He has done his first piddle unaided in his litter tray but we are still waiting for the poop.
He is simply adorable.
-
Heh heh heh - just dropped by for a quick Nom Nom Nom! :evillaugh: :Luv2:

:Luv: Peaair would be best way of spelling it lol

Well my boy did a huge poop all on his own last night and in his litter tray, he`s making good progress but chest still raspy. I am a proud meowmy today.
-
That is wonderful news

It certainly is. How are his tremors, Teresa?
-

The raspy chest is almost replaced by Purrs. Think our little Pierre is going to turn into a spoilt little so and so just like Paddy Junior.

Just had the phone call I`ve been praying for from the man at the factory who is feeding the cats and the good news is he is going to help me with trapping the 2 mothers and 4 x 12 week old kittens, no idea where I am going to squeeze them as everywhere is full but will work something out somehow. The bad news is that Pierre is the only survivor from his litter so think I should just be grateful that we got him in time.
-
Pierre is simply :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: that face just felts me.

Thanks Clare your Good Luck message paid off and all four kittens are now with me,rather reluctantly I might add think I am lucky to have escaped with just the one bruise. The mother cats will be trapped next week when vet can squeeze them in.

I do recall that to be true. Remember the little Ginger butter both Jon and Carl fell in love with. Tobasco wasn't it?
-
Yes Ruth that was little Tabasco and both Jon and Carl let him slip through their fingers
-
The stripy socks! Munchkin! :Luv:

Am taking little Pierre to vets at 10.50 this morning as he is having difficulty eating , cant see any ulcers but feel happier making sure.
-
Oh no! Sending mega cuddles for little PeeAir from me and Paddy
-
I hope it's nothing that can't be speedily sorted
-
Awww, lots of huggles coming your way for Pierre, hope the vet visit goes well.
-
Dave the vet thinks Pierre is coping remarkably well, no apparent soreness in mouth but told me to keep watching him. His weight is up from 330grams to 500grams, so panic over.
-
glad to hear he is doing ok T
-
great news! ;D
-
J'Adore Pierre :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
-
Pierre is currently eating for England, could be something to do with the giant sausages found in his litter tray.

Has he been talking to Pedders about poop :evillaugh:
-
Pierre is so cute! :Luv: I'm so glad to hear that he's doing well!

I was lucky enough to have lots of cuddles with the delectable Pierre today, he is simply gorgeous (and super cheeky!) :Luv: :Luv:
-
Jealous!!
-
This gorgeous little boy has just gone to his new home, I know its a little near to Christmas but the home is with wonderful people who already have 3 Paws Inn cats.
Recognising Pierres leadership qualities his new parents decided to call him after Field Marshall Montgomery so, he is to be known as Monty.
-
This is wonderful news T, and I dont think it is too near Christmas, we stopped homing yesterday, but I know of 2 other rescues that are still rehoming for the next week or so. Love his new name
-
What wonderful news that Monty has a great new home :wow:
Blip was rehomed to us the week before Christmas: if circumstances are such that you can have complete confidence in the new home, why not? Hope he quickly settles down with his three new friends.
-
;D brilliant news!
-
Not every one goes crazy at xmas but do have the extra time off work so a good time for some to adopt, hope he settles in well in his new home ;D
-
Not every one goes crazy at xmas but do have the extra time off work so a good time for some to adopt,
That's exactly why it was perfect for us to bring Blip to the place she belongs at this time of year: you're very right, Millys Mum...
-
In truth I will rehome over Christmas when I am confident that everything will be just right as for little Monty Pierre I am so very happy for him, some on here will remember the very beautiful Vega named by Linda Bengalbabe, she is one of the 3 cats the people had from me.
-
I am one of those people, I dont do much for Christmas, and only visit family for a few hours on one day. The latest I have let one go is the 17th - and her space was filled by the 31st!!
