I can't go into too much detail but sadly someone who used to frequent the forums has been evicted from their home this morning. It came out of the blue as they have been suffering from severe depression so haven't been opening mail etc. The cats they own are now out on the street and they can't even get back to feed them :'( :'( This really is a desperate situation and I'm not sure how many cats but if anyone can offer foster homes etc until somewhere can be found for them, can they please contact me asap :thanks:
-
Which area Dawn?
I know you can't go into detail but we need to know if any of us are nearby?
-
Birkenhead area.
-
Sorry Dawn - I changed it but too late :-[
Is that Ems way?
-
Just changed my post :sneaky: I'm not sure, Wallasey, Wirral, round that area.
-
Terrible at geography! What ages and genders etc are the cats? Is it imperative they go together? (Are they bonded?)
-
Not sure of ages etc but I know 2 are female, I doubt at the moment it's imperitive they go together, they are on the streets so we just have to find homes where we can, whether they are together or not :(
-
Terrible at geography!
Sort of LIVERPOOL area.
-
Dawn we could help but distance is the issue
-
Liz, we may be able to get them over to you if we can sort out funding for transport. I don't mind having a run over but it will mean me getting them here for a few days and popping over next week sometime as Craig's on leave on Friday. Send me your number again and I'll bell you later if that's ok :thanks:
-
Have sent a message to Nicky. (Who is in Liverpool.)
-
Thanks JS
-
pooey its miles from me.....cant do anything to help
But thinking of you all xxxx
-
has the person got somewhere to go Dawn, do they know where the cats are or do they need trapping
-
As far as I know they will be going into a hostel but not 100% sure, the cats should be near the house and from what I remember, a couple were quite shy so may need trapping.
-
Please keep us up to date on this Dawn and I am sure that we can come up with a plan between us all
-
what a sad situation, sending my best wishes xx
-
I will do and thanks  This person was part of this forum for quite a while and my heart goes out to them so if anyone can help, I know they will be extremely grateful. I know the cats were their life and it's just an unfortunate set of circumstances that have put them and this person in this position :'( :'(
-
This is terribly sad, when I hear of things like this, the saying 'there but the Grace of God' springs to mind... :(
-
Only just seen this with being out last night,
We can't take them in but am happy to help with transport if that helps :-:
-
Bumping this up. Liz, if you see this can you contact me, I've tried phoning you and left messages, we need to get these cats sorted asap but I can't catch them until I have a place lined up
-
Dawn we have to decline after speaking with our vets they say we should have a bit of space due to the FIP we lost Gem to and the fact that we are waiting to see if Beijing and Archie are carriers for the Corona virus both to young to be tested with any accuracy
yet
Sorry for this but I won't endanger anything else having had the heartbreaking loss of Gem to FIP :'(
-
Do you know how many cats yet Dawn? I gladly offer my spare room - but again distance would be an issue I'm right down in Wiltshire.
-
Distance isn't really a problem as we need to get them sorted. There are 5 cats, 1 is semi feral so not sure how we can work it with her, one of the cats doesn't like others but she's completely stressed at the moment, the other 3 do get on okay, it may be a case of us having to sort the other 2 out separate and keep the other 3 together but they don't need to stay together if you know what I mean :tired:
-
Dawn, I think Nicky is prepared to take the cats on. Do you want me to PM her email addy so you can contact her direct? (If you look at Blackpool Cats in Care on the links it's actually on the contact info.)
-
Is Nicky the one in Blackpool? If it is, I have dealt with her before and did take a cat off her a while ago. If you can get her contact details and it will save me looking for them, I'll give her a ring but preferably a landline number.
-
Sorry Dawn, I don't have a landline number. Will PM the mobile though.
-
Could they be boarded if funds found?
-
MM, I emailed Nicky and am under the impression she'd take the cats on but is concerned about transport.
-
Transport isn't an issue, I'll take them over.

The other thread although the action seems to be on this one
-
So to clarify - have you managed to get in touch with Nicky, Dawn? And how many cats is it? I was under the impression it was three - or is it five?
-
There are 5 but one is extremely freaked out at the moment and the one of the others isn't bril with other cats so would be better possibly being fostered separately. I've texted Nicky but haven't heard back yet, I will try and find her home number as I should have it somewhere.
-
I've spoken to Nicky and we'll try and get something sorted for some or hopefully all the cats, I'm off to Harrogate tomorrow to pick Craig up cos he's home for a week :cheer: and I'll bell Nicky when I'm home to see how many she can take
-
Great - let us know how it goes!
-
Dawn, any luck yet?
-
Bumping this up....what happened?
-
Happy to report that we have now sorted all cats locally. :thanks:
-
glad the cats are sorted, hope the owner is ok too
-
Gutted to lose their beloved cats as you can imagine. :'( But glad to know they are all safe now. Thanks to everyone for their concern.
