My 5 month year old Lyra loves playing hide and seek. She never tires of it. It took me a wee while to realise that this was what she was doing. She would come up to me and tap my foot or hand and then run away, underneath the telly amongst all the wires. At first I was worried in case she'd chew the wires, so I'd follow her and lift her up away from the area. 5 minutes later she'd do the same thing again and then it twigged that she was hiding and playing and wanted me to follow her. I now build a tunnel of pillows on the bed each morning and now when she taps me on the foot she runs and hides inside the tunnel. I have to go and tap her gently so that she knows I've followed her then I go back to the living room. She'll come back again and tap me and so on and on and on...it's exhausting! but so sweet. :Luv2:
She also loves the laser light - and will immediately start looking on the floor for the light as soon as I pick it up from the table.
What games do you play with your cat?

My two LOOOOOVE the laser pen that I got from the purrs shop. They can play with it for hours and never get bored. I particularly enjoy watching them run after it into the hall and then turning it off, as they look a round for a fair bit, but then get so excited when they see it again.

Misa and Sasa love to play with a peacock feather and the IKEA tent. On will get in the tent and pounce and bash from the inside then the other will pounce and bash from the outside.
Outside when its dry enough they love da birdy or da mousie ;D

We play chase - Charlie loves you to chase him round the house. We also play hunting in the garden when it's dry enough with Da Bird and Da Mouse. Another game he loves is to hide and move peacock feathers underneath cardbord. He loves anything involving cardboard boxes too

the hiding in the tunnel and waiting to be bashed is a firm favourite

Sam also suggested a ping pong ball in the bath game, which I tried on monday and they LOVE!

Monopoly, Chess, Snooker :evillaugh: :naughty:
Seriously now......... she loves running all over my bed when I dangle a long ribbon that was tied around a throw I bought ages ago. She also loves running after her ping pong balls and her mice.
She plays hide and seek when it's time to go to the vet :sneaky:

My older cats love fishing rod toys, and the catnip bags from CPL shops - the bags aren't very interactive, but are very popular! Astryd, the wee one likes to play fetch - a lot! We tie an emtpy crisp packet in a bow and she'll spend about an hour running after it and then bringing it back and dropping it on the sofa for us to throw again. When she's bored of playing with us she just picks it up in her mouth and carries it to another room to bat about and beat up!

Your little one is gorgeous. So cute. How do you play the ping pong game?

My 2 love it when I use the laser light pen (the minute they see me going for it they're all excited).
Ollie loves it when I chase him round the flat (Harvey isn't into that though) - he also used to play fetch but only plays that with certain mice and we seemed to have lost them all.
Harvey likes it when I have my hand under a sheet/blanket and move it around - he chases it and tries to grab it (although very sore when he does). He also loves being swung whilst lying in a bag - strange, I know!

Not so strange! Lyra often 'helps' me with the laundry and when I'm making the bed she loves to dive into a pillow case then I will pick her up and rock her gently from side to side! ;D

Milo plays fetch with his balls and also loves to be chased and play with stick in the garden (me running around with a stick and milo chasing me)
Milo also adores boxes.
Jess likes to chase.
They both love the laser pen and I've just ordered a da bird

very simple game the ping pong game. Place a ping pong ball in an empty bath and show kitty.....offf they go. you might need to supervise the game though as the ball often stops in the plug hole :evillaugh:. very noisy game but GREAT fun

Aww, my Katie doesn't really play all that much :(
I often feel guilty that I don't play with her as much as other people do, but she only really likes the laser pen (and then it's only for around 2 minutes and she's bored). She doesn't like chase, she doesn't like fishing rods....
She is around 8 years old but that's still not elderly is it?!
Any other ideas...?!

The laser is my 4's favourite as well. My eldest daughter also loves standing at the bottom of the stairs and throwing a bouncy ball up for them, it bounces really high and they love it
-
Max loves his laser pen, feather on a stick, and ping pong balls, all guaranteed to get him running about the house like a loon :evillaugh:
Forgot to add Max's wiggly waggler :)

I have just started getting one of my lazy boys to chase about by tying a bit of a cat treat onto a piece of string and running about the house with it. He'll chase it for ages, then I eventually let him eat it when we're tired.
They also like the Da bird and da mouse. Digby also has a mouse he likes to play fetch with.
They both like playing in a kids ball pit i got from Argos. i have cut holes in the sides and they love pouncing on each other in it and hiding. It also works like a hamster wheel when it's on its side. I can get them running around inside using the Da bird. It's hilarious.
