Title: Rubbing behaviour in kittens
Post by: Hannikat on October 14, 2008, 13:38:30 PM
since I got Izzy and Bella I've started to noticed one thing that I've always taken from granted with other cats I've lived with in the past...they dont rub. All other cats I've known rub up against you/objects but mine don't seem to. Is this because they are kittens and their scent glands aren't fully developed?

Memphis doesn't rub anything - he never has and he's now 1. He also doesn't do the kneading thing to get settled which I always assumed all cats did (not complaining at all because I don't like it  :evillaugh:)

I think all cats are different - Bertie sat on my shoulder and sometimes kneeded but never rubbed. Edgar never rubs and is 11 but always pads and kneeds and Oscar who is also 11 just rubs and never kneeds lol!! Just different personalities I think!

Strange. There is lots of kneeding going on in our house too! Izzy has also taken to licking my ear lobes which is a new one I'm not keen on  :)
