I know we've previously debated how good the kitten dry food of this brand is but has anyone tried this one yet?
-
I've been after it for ages but still haven't seen it
-
I saw it in my local PAH a few weeks ago but they didn't have any samples for try :tired: Its available on the website now though
-
I looked at these the other day and was put off by the fact it was made in Thailand - you never know, after all that in China with the melamine - I know Thailand isnt China, but who would have thought that manufacturers would put things like melamine in food?
-
I'm always put off things from thailand because I think of the chickens beforehand - bit sad of me I know
-
There really is no escaping it - As hard as I try, I keep getting caught out. The latest is I was in class this morning, One of the women wanted to have a look at my chemistry book. She put it back in front of me face down and there it was "Printed in China" :tired:
-
you've made me notice more I have to say I never really looked before but I do now
-
Iv got a box of the adult one and its just like hi life
-
The only wet I could see when I went to PAH last week were tins of fishy stuff. I didn't see any pouches.
-
My one had the pouches in the normal felix whiskas area and the tins of nasty fish in the premium gourmet area. Silly way to advertise a brand :innocent:
-
Ah right. Guess I looked in the wrong section then. I bought a couple of tins of the fish ones and Jaffa like them (he's had the sardine one for his tea tonight). Will have to check whether they have the pouches. Mind you, I bought some NM when I was there so must have looked further up the shelf as that isn't by the gourmet stuff.
-
I use Hilife kitten pouches at the mo and since they have been 'new and improved' they have been made in thailand :tired:
-
Virtually all the posher brands are now, the meat there is very very cheap so they make a nice profit on it. >:(
Where was hi life made before?
-
in the EU but it didn't specify where abouts. It also never used to have Tapioca in it either now it does, just like the purely ones
-
I have tried the wet & dry of 'Purely' on my 6. Not keen on the wet but like the dry.
On filling a bowl of the chicken biscuits a dog biscuit came out in the shape of a bone!! I thought I had won a prize!
I notified PAH who sent it on for analysis to their supplier.
The supplier then rang me to apologise & to say that the cat biscuits are made in a completely different area to that of the dogs, & that all staff will be made aware of this for quality control.
No freebies have arrived yet from them ~ a years supply of biscuits would be very nice or is that a little greedy???
-
Bought some Purely wet this evening, they already like the dry so wanted to try the wet and they lapped it up! Seems like pretty good stuff, 50% meat's not bad and doesn't stink the kitchen out like the usual!
-
I bought the senior stuff, forgetting that MM had said it was similar to HiLife - they dont like it!! I also bought some of the fishy tins to see what they are like and tried their own senior pate trays - not come across such stinky food for a long while.
-
I bought some of the chicken pouches yesterday (adult). I've tried the fishy tins and Jaffa loves them, but not seen the pouches until now.
