I got woken up at 5:15 this morning to the sound of some pitiful pleading. Little Memphis was sat in the middle of my rug, toy at his feet, eyes as big as puppy like as he could get them staring right at me. Then came the plea like sounds from him, begging me to play with his toy :tired: Then when I didn't he carried on crying and whimpering  OMG he sounded so pathetically cute  15 minutes later I caved in and put the toy in the drawer (:naughty:) whilst he was clinging on for dear life.
Even at the moment he's trying to get me to play .. he just sounds so cute and a little tooo obsessed. He's never woken me up before like that, but at the same time he's attached to the hip with the toy. He takes it upstairs with him, downstairs, into bed. He leaves it outside his poo box whilst he does his business :-:
Any other cats have obsessive toy issues? or a general need to wake you up to play?

I get woken up for no reason, Den! Carrie has dementia and so cries randomly throughout the night - it's heartbreaking and drives me mad all at the same time.
It's actually got bad enough for us to consider setting her up in one room every night to see if it helps. (I'd miss her being on the bed with me, but I'm sooooo tired all the time!)
I think being woken up like that once in a while sounds ridiculously cute! ;)

Yes Jameson usually wakes me up around 5am by going crazy on the scratching post. The scratch post is right next to my side of the bed, and this morning I leaned down to see him swinging himself around on it. When he saw I was awake his eyes got soooo big and he got even more excited, and started wiggling around whacking pretty much everything within his reach. I was so tired, so must've fallen asleep again cos that's all I can remember.
He works really well as my alarm clock though, 8am every morning I get woken up by a loud chirp to remind me that it's breakfast time!!

I get woken up pretty much daily by Maxy between 4.30 and 5.00, he starts dibbing stuff in the bedroom, eating my shoelaces, trying to paw my shoes out of the wardrobe, then he works his way round to jumping on my bedside table and standing on my book, and pawing the pages up and down :tired:
If that fails he starts trying to eat the cables behind the mirror.
I love him to bits, but boy do I feel tired every day :shy:
-
Ahhh so glad it's not just me. But everyday, eeeeeep. It's like we have to be tired all day whilst they get to snooze all day
Both Jameson and Max sound like little angels .... not :evillaugh: I don't envy you both. Poor Carries :( that does sound so heartbreaking. Makes me realise I shouldn't really complain about little cute chirper.

It's pretty frustrating. There's not much we can do to help her, which sucks.

Charlie normally wakes me up between 5 and 5 30 by standing on his back legs at the side of the bed and pawing at me. If this doesn't work he jumps on top of the tv and freeview box and knocks the freeview box off.
-
Oh yes - how could I forget my morning DJ Jamie-Pantz! :evillaugh: He'll jump up on the cd player, and knock all cds over so they fall down on the floor, and me and OH wake up with a shock as the cd cases break and scatter all over the place.

Cheesecat Dawn was wondering if anyone had seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0ffwDYo00Q&feature=user :-:
Seriously, Willow always walk all over me at around 5am and quick often with her beaten up mousey in her mouth :evillaugh: - She carries it round the house making strange noises.
-
Some days Archie will wake me up at 6am and it seems every time I go back to sleep he wakes me up again.
Once he has his prawns he settles :naughty:
-
Mine know better than to wake me up early, they'd get the pillow thrown at them :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
-
Mine are banned from the bedroom and sleep in their own room so we get peace and quiet.

Mosi wakes me up most
mornings nights between 4-6am (sometimes earlier) to play. It's never for food, always for attention and play. He reckons that he's had enough sleep and so everyone else (that's me and Jaffa ;)) should get up and play too :shify: If I don't join in he swings on the curtains, plays with the window blinds or just whines. Occasionally he goes for the gentle option of sitting beside my head and tapping my face.

Nice one Mark, the opportunity was just there waiting for you :evillaugh: :naughty:
Oh yes I am with all of you - Bonnie wakes me up about 5 times during the night and probably attempts 10 times! She just wakes me up to rub her ears and her belly - but I can't resist her belly and we all know it's our own fault - they just literally walk all over us. :Luv2:

I know I shouldn't laugh, but just imagining him doing that is so funny :evillaugh:
Naughty Mosi waking everyone up.

3.16am this morning!!!!
-
5.20 for me again today, yawn :tired:
-
5am. Admittedly it wasnt for playtime, I woke up to see Jameson bunny kicking OH's leg as he tried to cover him with the duvet. Angry kitty!!
-
I was allowed to sleep in until 5.55am today but I didn't go to bed until nearly 1am, so not quite as impressive as it sounds. My alarm was set for 6am though so he got it almost right!
-
5am again on the dot  :tired:
Feeling very tired today, he also woke me up a 2am.
-
I'm glad it's not just me who's subjected to the night time play!
Nobo generally wakes me up each night and it can be from 3am - 6am. I usually get a POUNCE on my toe, that's obviously moved or my hand, or anything that's dared to move when I'm sleeping. I usually wake up with a set of claws hanging off my feet and Nobo with a big grin. :naughty: :naughty:
Since he's become an outdoor cat, the night plays have reduced a lot. Thank god :Luv:
-
I had a 1am wake up call because my arm was hanging off the bed. Guess he thought that meant I wanted to play :-: I tried to pick him up to give him a big squishy hug but he kept running away ... didn't hear a peep out of him after that!
-
I woke up at 3.55am, a wet cat wanted snuggles in bed! He was still out when I went to bed last night and wouldn't come in when I called him. It must've been raining, because a sweet, purry cat were pawing my (white) duvet, nudging his wet face and fur in my face. How could I say no? I just can't. I was too tired to towel him off too..
-
3.26am careering round the bedroom which I ignored, for once. Then when I went to the loo at 5.15 he wanted his breakfast. Slave as ever I got up then
-
Well not play today - but we had the boys upstairs and Thai stayed downstairs. Zubi slept on my head then he moved after about 2 hours - I turned over and on my tummy and he climbed on my back and went to sleep there. He was lovely and comfy - Lucky Zu :tired:
then he woke up a 5am all lovely and refreshed - wanting to go out - me sat at work completly :tired: :tired: :tired:
Bless him - I only allow because I love him.

I think I'm benefitting from the fact that I've not put any heating on yet. It's not exactly hot in here so I think Mosi spends the night snuggled up and conserving heat! ;D Me and Jaffa both had our hot water bottles last night.
