I've mentioned before that Mosi doesn't really purr. If I lay my head on his chest I can feel vibrations and sometimes hear a very faint purr. More often he does a sort of breathy, wheezy noise! I know that's his attempt at a purr because it's quite rhythmic and he does it when he's being fussed and builds up to it just like a purr. A while back I posted that he had purred, but that was a fairly faint purr (but quite newsworthy at the time!) and hasn't been repeated much since then. Well, this morning I woke up to find him cuddled up to me and started to stroke him Soon he was purring like a tractor! I couldn't believe it and spent ages looking around in the half light to see where Jaffa was as I was sure it couldnt be Mosi making that noise. But it was. I'm amazed as I didnt' think he could purr like that and he never has before in all the time I've had him. I just can't get over my little purrer! I wonder if he'll continue with it now that he's discovered he can do it! I actually got worried he was ill at one point to be purring like that.

Mosi is a noisy lad in every other way, but he's never purred. It really did take me a full 5 minutes this morning to accept that it was Mosi making the noise  I couldn't believe my ears. He's a happy little lad but he's just never been a purry boy.

Ahhh how cool ... I have told Rossi that her boyfriend has started loud purring in the hope that she might start doing it. She is another silent purrer and just vibrates on my knee :Luv2:
