Meet the newest member to our little family! Rufus!
My boss' partner found him in the busy city of Christchurch running around the heavy traffic! He's super friendly so it didn't take much to coax him to safety and they bought him back to the office.
Lately I have been doing paintings of Black & White cats and I thought how good would it be to get a Black & White cat to paint and a boy so Binx will have a playmate during the day when me and my partner are away working.
Well the rescue turned out to be a Black & White male kitty! He's only about 2 months old and slept on my desk for the rest of the afternoon at work - so cute! He was soooo tired!
I've bought him home and now he's got Binx's old kitten stuff - which was good to have on hand and he is just the friendlist cat I have ever meet! Lots of energy and Binx is getting along well with him - Rufus hiding and pouncing on Binx when he least expects it!
I've advertised for anyone who may have lost a kitty, and thought I had the owner yesterday - but turns out to be another lost kitty - so looks like we are set to keep Rufus - which of course I don't mind at all!
Welcome to our family Rufus!

He is sweet, but you need to be looking for an owner a bit longer before you can say he is yours - you also need to contact vets etc in case someone has reported him missing, and it might be worth contacting Sue at MyMoggy in case she has had a report.
-
Ahhh he's lovely .... I gree you need to try and find his mummy and daddy though.
Check and put a post on the following sites:

What a little cutie :Luv:
I agree that Rufus's new Mum should be pro-active in trying to find a previous owner but they are in New Zealand and the sites linked to seem to be UK ones. Do you have similar websites in NZ that you could post this little man onto? If no Mum or Dad comes forward then I'm sure he will live happily ever after with his new family ;D
-
Didnt know that Rufus was a Kiwi and we dont have any sites like those outside of UK here.
Rufus looks adorable and I am sure he has a great new home if his family are not found ;D
-
Oh yes I've looked high and low - at the RSPCA's the local vets and registered him online at a couple of sights.
I just love him to bits, he's so adorable - so I guess I've just got my hopes up - but I am still doing the right thing - cuz I just know how I would feel if it was me that lost him!
A good kiwi website.... www.petsonthenet.co.nz

Ahhh butter I forgot you were a Kiwi .... sorry about that!!!
All I can suggest is posters and contact local vets to see if he has been reported lost.
If no-one responds to that then I'd say you'd got yourself a new furry :Luv: :Luv:

Sall good :-D
Yeah I was thinking about posters last night, might do some up today and put a couple up!

What a little hunny :)
Well done for taking him in ...let us know how you get on I do hope that if he has been lost that he is reunited with his mum/dad as if it was me i would be so heartbroken if i thought that he was lost !
