HI guys
OH took Mango to the vets this morning as they had their jabs last week (Mango has lost weight from 5kg to 4.8kg since last year!) and it was recommended that Mango's teeth be cleaned and possible extraction of one slightly sore looking tooth.
I just need a little reassurance today as I saw a thread the other day about a cat that didn't come back from the GA and am worried about my little Bear. I can call at two so will keep you updated.
Good vibes please!!

Awwww, try not to worry hun, although I know its easier said than done
Max had the same th ing a few years ago and I was worried sick, but he was absolutely fine, no effects from the anaesthetic at all, and wolfed down a pouch of sensitivity food as he was so hungry.
Mango will be fine hunnie  xx

I'm sure she'll be just fine  Make sure she has some gently poached juicy chicken breast waiting for her when she comes home :)

Try not to worry .....it is very rare to die under a GA.
I am sure Mango will be fine xxx

Don't worry. They always check the cat is healthy enough for a GA. Also the drugs are safer now than they used to be. Clapton has had GAs 4 times for dentals. The last time, he had his last 4 teeth taken out and he is also suffering from CRF but he was fine afterwards apard from a bit of a sore mouth for a few days.

Just know Mango will be fine

My boy Dragan (RIP) had a dental at 17 and came round just fine.

Yay! went to pick her up at half five, she was a little depressed looking, and was drooling a bit (bleugh) No extractions though, which is good.
They gave me a HUGE bag of Hills dental food, and three pouches of the wet food, which she will be having over the next couple of days. It looks as soft as butter and she loved it. I think she was trying to get the taste out of her mouth as she was licking her front legs and they were soaking wet! Reminded me of when kangaroos do that to keep themselves cool.....
Chutney has also been going "all feral" (its what i call her when she goes really low to the ground and sneaks forward) probably because she smells of the vets. I am soooo glad she is home though, and that it cost me 40 quid less than I thought it would lol.
I have my Bear back!! :wow:
