Title: Developed a brown patch under her eye
Post by: morph on September 22, 2008, 19:51:25 PM
This isn't really a problem and my cat seems to be very healthy, but over the last few years she has developed a brown patch at the very bottom of her eye. It doesn't bother her, there is no discharge and her eyesight seems to be fine. She is 18 years old. The problem doesn't worry me, I'm just curious as to what it is.

Do you mean in the white of her eye?

If its a patch in the white of the eye it could need investigating?

My boy Max gets very these occasionally, like a burst blood vessell which fades over a period of weeks.  We don't know what caused his, but it can have medical reasons which should be checked out by a vet.

Cats do get brown spots in their eyes as they age but it can also mean theres an illness. Take it to a vet.
