Post by: Mark on September 22, 2008, 17:38:50 PM

gosh - how unusual is that. Never thought that young cats would breed and produce more kittens - has she thought of writing to the guiness book of records or some scientific journal?
 ;)

Tell me about it. I really don't have any time for "well meaning" etc. You don't need a degree in biology to work that one out?

Anyway, I just spoke to Sharon and the RSPCA are going round to assess and maybe it will be a joint operation. None of them are handleable.

We had to pass this call onto the RSPCA (they owe me a few favours) the elderly lady is doing this with the best of intentions but she hasnt really helped at all but not reporting this before it all got out of hand. We wll try to work to help get the female cat in but, when i rang the inspector yesterday they hadnt had time (?) to go down there and suss it out. Ummmm...

I would be greatful if someone could change the thread here. But the RSPCA never did help this lady but we have managed to catch 4 kittens around 6wks old and there is one left to go plus a very nervy mum.

Some of the kittens are pure while and some have blue eyes so we are wondering about deafness, although they are covered in fleas and worms they are coming along well.. But of course not rehomable yet..

This could of got very out of hand and i do think the RSPCA shunned being helpful here, they really did pass the buck.

I'm confused - I thought the same when I saw Caroline's email.

4 names but a trio of (gorgeous) kittens?

Aww, they are lovely, and if those dots on their head are colour rather than dirt, it might stop them being deaf.
