Just taken Lulu to see my vet.
The first thing he noticed was the funny shape she is at the back.....Now i had thought this but hadnt said anything as i wanted to see if it was just me being over protective.
He also feels that she is holding herself in a strange way and has a waist line !
He was very surprised that the emergency vets didnt do any xrays so she is booked in for tomorrow.
He says it could be a cracked pelvis or a tare in the diaframe (sp)
-
Poor Lulu, best of luck tomorrow
-
Good luck
-
I would question paying the 1st vet his money if he hasn't done his job properly
-
Fingers crossed for Lulu. Both a cracked pelvis and a tear in the diaphragm sound painful, but treatable, thank goodness. But Mark may have a point: let's see what happens.
 to Lulu and to you.

Will deff be in touch with emergency vet if it turns out she has either.
I also showed him my bill as there seemed to be 2 payments for IV fluids
He said that one was for the fluids and the other payment was to give them to her .... :censored: LIBERTY

I see.....because you'd do what else with them? :tired: Hope Lulu's OK.
-
Ahhh poor LuLu ... fingers crossed for tomorrow.

It's not just about the money, imagine one of us released from hospital with damaged organs or broken bones? - is there such a thing as medical negligence with animals?
-
Fingers and paws crossed here for Lulu\
-
Fingers crossed.

Right, she hasnt broken anything but she has alot of air under the skin where she has torn the skin away from the muscle .
The air could be gas which means there could be an infection so she is going onto a course of antibiotics.....the skin will reattach its self to the muscle in time.
She has alot of swelling around her hips which will go down in time.
Looks like my poor baby took one hell of a knock :(
-
Sending her lots of healing vibes for a speedy recovery
-
That must be very painful for little Lulu but it's treatable and she wasn't even more badly hurt, thank goodness
I hope she recovers quickly, poor little mite.
-
That's good news in the circumstances. Glad for you and Lulu and hopefully each day will bring an improvement.
-
Poor baby, hope she starts to feel better soon :care:
-
She is home now :Luv:
My vet showed Me her xrays, She has done quiet abit of damage to the muscles.
Not only has it come away from the skin she has also torn it in a few places.
Her left side is alot bigger than the right side with swellings.
She just needs to rest and let things heal
-
:(Ahhh poor baby ... but at least n broken bones. In sure with lots of TLC and gentle cuddles she will be back to her old self very soon.
-
Poor baby. Hope she gets better soon
-
Fingers crossed for her.
-
I've just seen this and I'm so sorry - it all sounds so painful for poor little Lulu. I hope she recovers quickly
-
Thank you so much for all the well wishes.
She is not so good tonight, limping quiet abit but i think this probably because she has been pulled about today (i noticed that after the vet visit yesterday too)
She was also finding it hard to get settled so i have just been lieing on the bed with her and she has now fallen alseep.
Gotta be honest i did have a little cry while stroking her, feel so bad for her especially as they can't talk and tell you who much it hurts.
-
:'( Michelle & Lulu
-
just being with her and lying next to her sounds like it has calmed her a bit. Poor little girl has had a horrible time and must be exhausted as well as in pain. Hope you both manage to have some peaceful, healing sleep x
-
Come on Lulu...Get better for mommy.
-

-
 rest welll sweetie

Hi Guys,
She seems more settled today, I think she was in pain last night as she had been pulled about for the xrays.
She is still walking very stiff and looks a strange shape at the back but my vet said she will be like this for a while till things start to repair.
He also said she has quiet a few gravel grazzes.
Something i have noticed, the other cats smell and lick her back hips....its almost as if they "know" that is where she is hurt
-
Glad she is getting there
I know what you mean about animals knowing. Kylie is a big bruiser but she seems to know Alice is frail and has never bothered her at all :Luv2:
-
Samantha, Polly and Victoria and Fred send lots of wet nose kisses to Lulu.
Hope she gets better soon. :get well:
-
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww big sloppy kisses and hugs
-
I think other cats do know when and where their fellow cats are hurt. Poor wee Lulu, I hope it's sunny where you are and she can have a good rest in the warm, healing rays
-
How's she been today Michelle? Hope she is feeling better

Hoping Lulu is feeling better
-
Well its a week and 2 days now and she is much much better, She still walks funny and is still an odd shape (dont know if that will change now) but she is almost back to her usual self. She has been going out over the weekend but hasnt gone far.
-
It's good news indeed that Lulu is so much better in herself. I would guess that injuries like hers will take some time to heal fully and that her shape will be odd at least until they have. to her.
-
Glad she is much better, hope it continues
-
Glad she's doing so well :Luv:
-
Glad LuLu is feeling better - hope everday progresses for her
