Are they poisonous?
Not the fruit, obviously, I think they'd have a shock if they decided to take a munch on an unsuspecting Jalapeno.
I have aquired a lovely plant full of steadily-ripening chillis and I'm not sure if it's safe to leave it on the windowsill. When I walked in the house you'd have thought I was carrying a large roast chicken or something. They both followed me into the kitchen, their eyes never straying from my new plant. I think as soon as my back's turned they'll be up there for a bit of leaf-nibbling.
Do you think it's safe?
Do you think the leaves might be too strong in taste for them anyway?
As always your advice is greatfully received! ;D

Can't see it on the FAB list http://fabcats.org/owners/poisons/plants.html - don't know if the leaves are strong tasting too, all I know is that you don't rub your eyes just after you've chopped a chilli.............like I did, once!

I have always grown chilli plants hun and my guys have never shown any inetrest in it at all and they munch on other house plants.

Cool, I should be ok then. I'm considering getting a yukka too. I believe they are ok and they're not on the list (which is now saved in my favourites, thanks!)
They do always love to stare longingly at my spider plant.
I've grown them cat grass before but it seems to attract flies.

I have loads of them in the greenhouse. The cats often come in there for a nosey about whilst I'm pottering and they've never bothered with any of the plants.

Think the lack on sun will get my chilli plants this year beore any of my cats do!
