I have Cat Counsellor and whilst I do like it I wondered if any of her two previous books are wider and deal with more general issues and understanding cat behaviour/body language etc. I thought I remembered some members saying before they had them and would like to hear what you think. Am wondering whether to get one of the others and which one to go for?
-
I'm biased because (a) she teaches me and (b) I liked her style of writing before she started teaching me! So I'd say look on Ebay and get Cat Confidential and Cat Detective! ;)
-
I have Cat Confidential and its good [also not biased ]
-
Yep, I've got 'em all, they're all worth reading!
-
She has a brand new one out just now The Complete Cat.
-
I'm reading complete cat at the moment, got it from amazon about half price not sure why it only came out last week, so far so good
-
I keep wavering between Confidential and Detective and I saw on her website that new Complete Cat one and really like the idea of it.
Jack lucky you - do you mind me asking how come she is teaching you? I love her very common sense approach.
-
Not at all. (I love her common sense approach too, Cat Confidential was one of my favourite behaviour books when I started my course and still is.)
Vicky took over from my previous tutor who is also a published cat expert - Linda Vousden. She specialises in tonkinese cats, though so is less well known. I'm currently finishing my final case study, but am having a bit of a mental block at the moment. :scared:
-
That does sound great -not the mental block mind you. Hope inspiration arrives soon.

I have already got Cat Confidential and Cat Counsellor and Cat Detective arrived yesterday ;D
I love the way Vicky Halls writes, thoroughly recommend her books :Luv: ;D
