They had ones with paw prints and I refuse to have anything in the house with paw prints :evillaugh: - so I had the choice of pink or blue baby fleeces. I also hate pink - so here we are. Willow prefers to sleep under hers :evillaugh:
PS - Do people really put £1 polyester fleeces on babies?
-
Well Alice seems to approve!! I guess for babies if its cosy and safe , then why spend lots? ;)
-
hey are quite soft but I doubt they have anything like the warmth of proper baby blankets?
-
didn't know anyone still had blankets??????
-
Awww looks like they are enjoying their new blankets Mark. Where did you get them from?
-
Down the local market. They have blue with teddies, pink with teddies or boring pawprint. £1 each :) - I'm sure most markets will have them as they all sell the same stuff.
They are perfect for putting in beds. If they are relly hairy, I bin them, otherwise wash. Funnily enough, the hair doesn't stick to them much - unlike the jumpers I sacrificed previously :evillaugh:
-
Hmmmmm. Will Dot believe they came from John Lewis tho'? :shify:

:evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh: at Dot

I bought some more of these today. I am going to give a couple to Rolvenden rescue when we go. They are so handy to put in cat beds to keep them clean + they are really soft :) - cats love them :Luv2:
Great for when Alive leaves a skid - I can do a quick change :evillaugh:
-
Here she is modelling another of her new blankets. She said they cost a whole £1 each :Luv2:
-
Aaww what a gorgeous girlie Alice is!!! :Luv2:
-
She's just a chilled old dear - she rarely leaves her bed :Luv2:
-
I realised how good these are this morning. When I came down this morning, Alice was on the sofa bench instead of her bed, then she went and sat on a lap pad on the window ledge. I said to OH it was really odd. I went to have a look and she had been sick in her bed. I swiped the blanket off and put a fresh one one and it was good to go :)
It took her a while to realise there was a clean blanket - she even told me off for putting her in the bed :Luv2:
She has a blue one with crowns on that says "Princess" al over it :-[ - I thought all the blue ones were teddies :-[
Now she has discoveed the window seat, she is quite happy there (even though she looks grumpy :evillaugh: ) :Luv2:
-
Can you get the princess one in pink or any other colour Mark? I like that one and the one with flowers on - can I place an order with you please? :naughty:
-
I don't know what they have as I just bought a few. I assumed all the blue were the same. I would happily get them but wouldn't the postage be high?
I have seen them in a Canterbury and Whitstable markets so sure a lot of market stalls must sell them?
Whitstable Market is on Thursday morning only.
They do have pink ones so I will check
-
I'll have a look in our local market. The Princess (but in pink) would be perfect for my Summer x
-
I don't buy already made blankets, I just go to a local sewing/material shop and buy a large piece of something nice - got all kinds at home - leopard, pink with pawprints, black with rainbow coloured pawprints, zebra stripes... you can cut to desired size too and it will cost you a fraction of the price!
-
The ones I get are only £1 and they are hemmed :)
I can't even thread a needle so it works for me :evillaugh:
-
Mark, I buy similar blankies for my two - have them dotted about on bed, chairs, baskets etc, plus a large one in Madam's carrier and a plain blue one with her blue set of show drapes.
I also get them for our branch of CP whenever I'm in London - they're great for the fosters and we also sell a lot of them on the stall. As a matter of fact, I picked up another 10 today... :)
-
I bought a couple more this morning as I was passing the market :evillaugh:
-
I'm gutted. Couldn't find any yesterday :P.
-
PM me your address and I will stick the pink princess blanket in the post ;D. I will refold it to fit in a C4 envelope as the post office is a pain.
