From The Grocer, 9 August 2008:
'Waitrose is rolling out its community initiative nationwide [my emphasis] following a successful trial at four stores. The Community Matters scheme will raise £2.3m for almost 7000 local charities and other good causes in the next 12 months. Each store is allocated £1,000 a month to donate to three local community projects...'

I went into my local Waitrose this afternoon, and one of the charities is Woking Cats Protection ;D ;D
Can you guess which one I chose :sneaky:

Ah well in our Waitrose one of this month's charities is Ely & District CP! ;D
Mind, I think they got bombarded with requests from just about all the committee and all the volunteers (including yours truly) so guess they had to relent in the end. :evillaugh:
Me, well I've been saving up my till tokens for just this kind of occasion... :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
Oh yeah, and it's on our website too: www.ely.cats.org.uk :sneaky:
