Title: cut pads

hi all , just after reassurance really, came home at lunch to bloody foot prints by the food bowls, upon looking, i can see its dots back pad, she fidgeted so much that i only managed a quick look before she started growling at me, i managed to clean it a bit while she was troughing her dinner, and put on some cream,  it doesnt appear to be causing her pain, she is still using it all ok, ive SHUT ( :-[) her in the house this avo while i'm back at work,  it looks like a slice on the large section of her pad, no idea what from, shes left a trail around the kitchen, but i cant see what it could of happened on inside so im guessing it was while she was out.

is it worth keeping her in do you think? any other suggestions on what i can put on it?

I'd say keep her in until its on its way with healing.. saves any nasty bugs getting into it and at least you can keep an eye on it and will know if its bleeding again.  Last thing you want is it getting dirty and infected.

Just also had to say the the word Pooey in your message was the Purrs replacement word for S**T so i think ya meant to say "Shut" lol

You could try bathing it in some cooled boiled water with a touch of salt in it too .

You need to keep an eye on it and any sign that its getting inflammed then off to the vet pronto

she let me do a good clean last night, im sure she remembers having baths as a kitten, cos she growled at me like i was trying to kill her! i had the help of my other half tho, he bore the brunt of the scratches!!! it looks like a nice clean cut, its not bleeding or messy at all, so gave it a clean and she went off to sleep afterwards, she is using it all ok
