Yesterday as i pulled out onto the main road there was a dead cat on the side of the road, obviously been ran over.
I went home and tried to find out who's cat it could be, my son said that it belonged to a woman on the corner. (horrid family) and went to tell her. She said it was hers but it was a horrid cat so my son walked away.
I can not believe that when i was coming to work this morning the poor thing is still on the side of the road.
How can someone be so heartless, they have had animal after animal and do not let them into the house but they live under cars until someone in the neighbourhood takes them in or they "go missing"
The RSPCA and Dog warden have been called their over the years and it just keeps happening.
My son noticed a tiny little kitten under one of the neighbours cars on Saturday and we think they have yet another.
I cannot stand it anymore.

 It's terrible when we come across this sort of thing. All you can do is either move the cat yourself and bury it or ask the Council to come out and pick it up. Poor little cat RIP hope you are now happy and loved at Rainbow Bridge.

They sound like a foul family. Poor cat and little kittie. Can't the kitten go missing (into your house or someone you know)? It really :censored: me off when people don't look after their pets!!!!!!!!
-
Hmmm.....tiny kitten you say? So probably not done or microchipped? :shify: ;)
Has anyone moved the poor cat yet? RIP, Little One - if you were "horrible" I'm sure it's because you were responding to how you were treated. You'll get lots of cuddles now.
-
Topsy if i take the kitten they will wage war on me. We are talking bad family here.
The kitten will go missing but i will not have it at my house.
They will only get another when it goes missing. I think they have had two dogs (left to roam the street) and at least 6 cats, two rabbits (her partner let them go in a field because he wanted to get rid of them)
2 guinea's and a hamster in about 4 years.
No idea how to look after any of them and they all gone now.
If the cat has not been removed by the time i get home from work i will bury it.

you can report them to the rspca without giving your name I think if you think a visit will help though probably not by the sound of it

Poor kitty ... RIP little soul.
There is no such thing as an ugly cat or a bad cat ... and like JS says you were no doubt just responding to how you were treated :'(
Play hard at the bridge sweetheart.

Oh this kind of thing really makes my blood boil. I cannot ever understand people who have animals and don't consider them part of the family. Suzie has been sick a few times recently and I'm taking her to the vet on Wednesday to get her checked out. Unfortunately as she spends all her time in the bedroom and 99.9999999999999% of this time on my bed then that's where she is going to be sick and that is usually over the duvet/bedlothes and pillow and occasionally me and I've been woken a few times at 3 in the morning to be greeted by her being sick next to me/over me in the bed. I told someone at work and they said something like "oh how disgusting, I could never put up with that, how do you cope?". I replied it's not disgusting and it's quite simple how I cope, I get up, clear up the mess and we carry on". I have switched her food around and this has helped and she is drinking water at her normal rate. I have got special "sensitivity" biscuits and two types of "sensitivity" wet food as well as trying her on bottled water. The best thing that she will eat has been the "Whiskas - Oh so fishy", sardine, haddock and cod flavours as they don't seem to be rich and full of jelly or gravy. Basically at nearly 17 years old I think that rich food doesn't agree with her but the vets should be able to advise me on that, otherwise she is a grand 'ol girl, still full of love, purrs and affection.
IMO people like that shouldn't be able to keep pets by law, it should be a criminal offense to keep animals unless one can prove that they are kindly treated.
Cheers
Leigh

It wouldnt hurt to take it to the vet just incase she was lying and it belongs to someone else :( they could also send it for mass cremation if burying it somewhere is too hard
-
Totally agree with you Leigh. I have a phobia of anything "kid" related - that is why I don't have any lol.
Poor Suzie :get well 3: hope she is better soon x

Tinamary,
I sympathise with your predicament as I grew up in an area where most people had a total disregard for their so-called 'pets'. It's so hard to know what to do for the best in these situations as, often, the RSPCA are of little help. Maybe you could try the RSPCA head office if you feel the local branch are not investigating this family properly?
All this families neglected animals could maybe be found new homes by whatever means? In an ideal world. this family wouldn't be allowed near any animal for the rest of their lives but for now, we can only do what we can.
RIP poor little cat x
