Title: Flowers and cats
Post by: Hippykitty on July 27, 2008, 13:09:25 PM
Someone bought me a bunch of chrysanthenmums (sp?) last night. I thought I'd better check that they're okay for cats, as mine are into everything, and I've found out they're poisonous!! So I'm going downstairs to bin them after writing this shocked warning!

When I looked at the list of flowers poisonous to cats, I'm amazed there are any safe ones left.

Oh well, I think he got them from a garage forecourt anyway. Cheapskate!!  :P

hey, at least he bought you flowers ... no-one I have ever gone out with has done that!!

Good warning though, you tend to forget that pretties can be dangerous ...

Kirst, it's best to avoid lillies in general. :)

Every bit of the Lilly is poisonous, its unlikely that a cat would nibble on a lily plant - but they can come into contact with the pollen quite easily by brushing past and getting it on their coat.
