Title: WARNING to cat and dog owners - slugs
Post by: Maddiesmum on July 19, 2008, 08:31:05 AM
On another forum there is a report of a dog who died from lungworms, apparently ingested by eating infested slugs on grass.

I can't imagine it could be very nice if a cat or dog ate slugs that had ingested slug pellets either  :(

I just looked and Drontal+, Milbemax and Panacur kill lungworm so regular dosing is important?

It is not just slugs, any cat/dog that hunts or has a tendency to eat slugs or snails is at risk. Another reason why routing worming is so important.
