We got a new kitten...a lovely blue one hes so cute
Anyway i didnt realise he had fleas. now i know he does. hes had his treatment so hes ok but they are all in my carpets and everything. so so horrible :sick: :sick:
I spent a fortune on the bomb things, and the carpet hoover stuff and the flea furniture spray. thought they would all be gone but im finding a few again.
how can i get rid of these awful things?

You need to get some flea spray from your vet ... bombs and over the counter stuff does not work!

Make sure you spray everything and every room, even those with hard floors ;D

Absolutely, get into crack, the little nooks in corners, corners of furniture (like bedframes). The sprays do work.

Can I just ask what you treated your kitten with as same thing applies to flea treatment for puddies as for flea treatment for house. Only stuff from vets work not "over the counter" stuff.

If hes wearing a flea collar, remove and wait a week before treating with a decent spot on from the vets or frontline

Please also remember that if a cat/kitten has fleas it most certainly will have tapeworm. Again the treatments available from supermarkets is not good and in some cases dangerous.

Hes had frontline treatment...cost £18 from the vet lol

The flea-treatment you used on the kitten and the house-spray might be working but what none of these preparations can do is kill the pupae lurking in the carpets and furnishings and they can survive for months and months. They will eventuall hatch and jump up on your cat but if you're using an effective preparation like Frontline they will be unable to breed before they die. The best thing to do to encourage the pupae to hatch is to vacuum, vacuum, vacuum; that way you will pick up eggs and larvae as well as the newly emerged adult fleas. Put a cut-up flea collar or flea-spray on a J-Cloth into the hoover-bag and dispose of the hoover-bag every time you use the cleaner.

A good flea spray will offer 12 months protection and the one i use called indorex "prevents development of eggs and larvae" ;D
