Title: Out of date cat food??

hi, i was just wondering if it would still be ok to feed them it, its natures menu pouches, that say best before 10th july, i only have a few left and i would take them till the 27th july to eat....so 17 days out of date

usualy if it was something i would eat it wouldent bother me unless its fermenting or growing mould!! but i didnt want to make them ill

I'd would feed them to my lot .... when you open the pouch you will be able to tell if it is "off".  I would expect them to be ok for 17 days after the best by date.

the cats would know if it was off as well I bet, they are fussy enough when its in date!

thanks for that....it still smelt ok yesterday (as ok as cat food can smell) so i shall keep feeding!

CP sometimes get out of date food sent from Purina (Felix & Gourmet pearl) sometimes it is a few months out of date and it is fine.

Also you say best before, not use by so theres more flexibility there  ;D
