Title: Charlie off to vet's today

He is shaking his head and scratching the back of his ears again so is going to have it checked out.  Hope they are not infected again.  Please wish him luck.  Appointment at 3.30pm

Is it earmites?  If so it maybe a good idea to use stronghold rather than say frontline.

Not sure Gill.  When he moved in with me he was over run with them.  We cleared them but had ear infections and nine weeks of treatment.  Then it seemed ok again but just lately he is back to shaking his head and scratching his ears.  I left it a few days against my better judgement as I didn't want to stress him again but have decided he really needs to get it checked out so now I am stressing about stressing him later!!!

Just back from the vet.  Happily Charlie's ears are fine.  Vet thinks it could be that now he is being well looked after his fur is getting thicker and he may be hot or his collar might be irritating him.  She said he is looking wonderful and is impressed with the behavioural turnaround achieved by the Zylkene and my treatment programme.  On the downside he is putting on weight still and needs to have his food cut back.  My life will not be worth living!!!  Thanks all for your good wishes, it means a lot.

Awww glad Charlie is okay,

We had to cut Jess's food down too, his lost 0.7kg since March, I gibe him smaller more frequent meals, could you try this  :hug:

Glad that Charlie got on well at the vets and didn't have anything wrong with his ears.
As for his weight reckon that shows he is contented.
