Can you believe one of the local vets. Has a cat in for 2wks stray with catflu and now just discovered it had FIV.. Being treated for catflu( and now better) but now it has FIV said they will PTS unless someone takes it on..!!
Really... some vets are well bloody awlful.... Why wait for 2wks or so.. or am i just having a bad day!!
Of course we have no room... but then again puss is young... so of course we say yes.. But...!! what pressure we are put under sometimes...
Makes me mad!! With luck we got their before they decided to PTS.. Not sure where it can go but worry about that later.

We have agreed to take this puss in from Monday..(pushing favours of pen space to the limit)..
He was due to be PTS tomorrow AM..
Ginger LH puss cat, very affectionate.... 2 to 5yrs old..
We are at the moment going through a Greek phase so this one is being called Homer!

I'm really pleased you've managed to make space for this little one Sharon

I wondered if you were going through a Simpsons phase :evillaugh:
Just as well as Marge isn't really a cat name and we certainly don't want a Lisa :evillaugh:
If Angela can't go on Monday, let me know.
-
Me too, Mark. I was thinking Simpsons too! But then again, I am not the brightest jewel in the crown. :evillaugh:

Arr folks thats because we have had a Pandora, Delphi and Hera the Kingstone 3 sisters... !plus Zeus.. You see I have been reading my ancient Greek!
-
Medusa for the next "must be obeyed" girl?
-
It must be 30 years since I studied ancient Greek, Sharon, so your inventiveness has gone over my head. Zeus I thought was after the famous children's books in memory of the author that just died. All I know about Pandora is something about not opening a box and Kingston is a suburb in Surrey where they sell you sandwiches with avocado in them that cost a small fortune. :shy:
Told you I was thick... :evillaugh:

This is fate i believe folks!! Just had a young couple ring me up (two doctors) who are interested in rehoming an FIV cat? Well knock me over with a feather!!
-
Brilliant - the kind of stuff that makes it all worthwhile :)

:wish:

Fingers crossed it works out.

Homer is a lovely ginger boy.. The full story being brought into the vets by the RSPCA 2wks ago after someone reported feeding him as a stray for weeks, but he started to wheeze and sneeze alot.. Got taken to a vets in Canterbury, logged with RSPCA got treated for cat flu (or some infection)... Then some one thought to blood test 2wks later and found he had FIV.. RSPCA ordered PTS and the vet nurse bent all the rules but ringing us the day before PTS on the off chance he could be saved..
I cannot help but think someone was looking after Homer.. and he potential new home is still in the loop being HC tomorrow.. if so the quickest FIV puss cat in and out we have ever had..!
Now been 1st vac and of course chipped!
