Took this beautiful lady in today, , she had been lay in a garden for a few days despite all the rain and all attempts to find an owner had come up blank. I aged her at 15 but vet has said older maybe 20; she has had bloods taken and a thorough check up, I thought she had some dental problems by the way she was holding her mouth, truth is she hasnt a single tooth left.
I remember when Buster was on his last legs my biggest fear was that he would go out and not make it home again, if she has an owner they must be going through agony; she is adorable, she looks like Minimopsicals greatest great grandma and more besides and I am truly smitten.
-
She is lovely and looks so sad........I do hope a miricle can unite her with her owner
-
She is lovely. Hope an owner can be found but we all know she'll be looked after in her retirement no matter what.
Give her some extra fuss from me and my gang.

Could the lady that found her put up some posters ?
Remember my friend who lost her 18yr old cat a couple of weeks ago...My friend rang the local vets but didnt know to ring local rescues (thankfully i did and found her cat at one)
-
Rose looks so beautiful and so sad. No microchip, obviously...

Every vet and rescue for miles around has been contacted by the man who found her, she has no microchip or collar although the marks on her neck tell me she has worn a collar in the past.
-
Maybe it was a breakaway collar
-
She is lovely, I do hope her owner is found, and if not, it is such a shame I am getting a new cat next week.
-

-
Have checked Sams replies, she isnt one of those, but thanks for info. She is adorable, vet just phoned possible thyroid and liver enzyme slightly raised he wants me to feed her up and if we dont make progress he will repeat bloods.
-
Fingers crossed she makes some progress.
-

First we need to ensure she doesnt have a frantic owner searching for her.
If she is genuinely stray she will be offered for rehoming, but once out of isolation she will move into the house and be treated as family just incase that home doesnt materialise.
-
Just been re checking with vets in Knutsford and one practice I spoke to informed me that she thought the finder was the owner of the cat but obviously couldnt expand.

Poor Rose is not too good today;we rushed her to the vet early this morning after she collapsed and went quite cold exactly the same as she was when she arrived a week ago,vet has taken more bloods as he now thinks she is having "Episodes" due to a thyroid problem, failing that a brain related issue, unfortunately we wont have results before next week; she is a dear old lady and seemed to be doing really well until today, so its fingers crossed.
-
My fingers are crossed for Rose

Oh Teresa, I've only just seen this thread. I'm so very sorry. What a sweet face Rose had....how lovable she looked...bless her.
She is at peace now and didn't die cold and alone in a strange garden. I hope the reports about the 'finder' being Rose's owner were mistaken...that would be too sad for words.
R.I.P. beautiful Rose. You are on a new journey now darling, and this one knows no pain or rejection....only love and peace.
A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside a garden wall,
And, as the days
passed swiftly by,
it spread its branches,
straight and tall……
One day,
a beam of light shone through
a crevice that had opened wide -
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side…..
Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be comforted –
the rose blooms there –
Its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by God’s own
loving care.
Thinking of you Teresa.
(What a sad day this is turning out to be....I've just read about our dear little Gigi :'()
Lots of love
Roz

Beautiful flower for a Beautiful girl Mark.
Night Night Precious girl - safe - warm and loved forever on the bridge.
T -she passed away with dignaty thanks to you  xxxx
-
Thank you, she was indeed beautiful.
I couldnt post about it yesterday but Rose had been fitting and Andy suspected Dry FIP when he saw her last time, I had spent a lot of time syringe feeding her which she didnt want and she was going downhill rapidly; both myself and Andy felt it would be cruel to keep her going any longer.
-
That is so sad.
Why do these little loves endure so much hardship and then deteriorate once they have found a haven of peace? It is almost as though they have been guided to a safe sanctuary where they will be comforted and loved and given the opportunity to close their eyes and sleep long and deep, out of harm's way... and thereto to die in peace. :'(
God bless Rose.
-
Aww, poor Rose, but at least she was with someone who cared, and allowed her to go with dignity.

Never a truer word spoken Roz xxx... sad but true.
They know they have found God and are just waiting for their Angel to arrive to take them safe forever. I wish this was the case for all animals xxxxxx
