Here are piccies of my babies. I've had Buddy for nearly three years and he is 3 1/2 years old. I was given him by a very dear friend, who is no longer with us, after I lost my beloved cat of 15 years to cancer. I got Mary last august from a rescue centre as she had been abused in her last home. She is still a bit nervous and is terrified of feet.
Here are the pics.
This is Buddy.

:welcome: Buddy and Mary are lovely.
I can relate to Mary.. my Lexy is the same, terrified of feet
Patience works wonders... my baby is spoiled rotten. Bet yours are too ;)

What gorgeous furbabes. It's such a shame when a furry is frightened of something like feet ... it breaks my heart to imagine WHY and what horrors the poor little darling might have put up with :'(
As Ruth says time and patience is a great healer and I suppose you have to be thankful she isn't frightened of hands so at least you can stroke her.

She has got alot more confident now but isn't a lap cat and doesn't like being picked up/handled very well. I can pick her up for a quick cuddle before she struggles to get down. I just let her come to me for cuddles, and she will snuggle up at night for a cuddle and likes to sit on my desk/table beside me whilst I'm working. Before I got Mary she'd had two sets of kittens and was only just over a year old. She came from a house that was over run with cats, that the owner couldn't manage so the Rspca stepped in and took all the cats. She now has a loving home for the rest of her life. I love her very much and she is my baby, as is Buddy.

Sounds about right. I can only pick Lexy up for a few minutes, but if I'm horizontal she'll pass out on my lap for hours. You clearly love her so she'll flourish under your care.
