Title: Nottingham - mum and 1 week old kits £100
Post by: Angiew on June 27, 2008, 14:54:10 PM
Our fav. site - don't suppose anyone has space and energy to try and get these

Description

for some reason both of my female cats have decided they were going to have kittens within a week of each other cute i know but i can only look after one set of them. there are 4 kittens one week old so obviously all need to go together as they still need their mum. they are a week old. this is her first litter she is 1 years old and lovly cat she is fine with the kittens being picked up she is very good with kids and very affectionate. there are 2 tabbys 1 male 1 female one all black female and one pure grey male. i am asking for £100 for the mum and kittens together.UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I SELL THE KITTENS SEPERATLY THEY MUST STAY WITH THEIR MOTHER FOR THE NEX 7 WEEKS as they are a week old... this is to ensure a good home she is perfectly self seficiant with the kittens she likes to sleep under my bed with them but obviously she will find a nice new place with them it is very hard to get rid of her coz she is a much loved cat and the kittens are very cute. even though she doesnt need any thing i still like to show her love and affection. and give her a fuss every now and then. and my other cat only gave birth today and seems to be craving alot more attention then lola. (the mum of this litter) she s a black and white cat. if you can help then please contact me asap because the faster the better as i said i cant cope with both thank you very much for your time. can email pictures on request no time wasters please.

god how awful - perhaps she should ask them why they decided to have kittens within a week of each other - moron

if anyone can help I'll chip in money wise

I've just been on there myself and feel pretty sick about it, I knew I never should have looked - not sure if its a good or bad thing though, none are near me

OMG this is shocking .... unfortuantely I can't help financially as I'm strapped at the moment and I couldn't offer to foster either - Zephyr would terrorise them.

However I am in NOTTINGHAM and woudl be able to help with collecting this little family and transporting them to a "safe house".

I can collect ANY time (evenings or weekends) just pm me if you need me.

???????

They make you laugh  :censored:  :censored:  If she cares that much for her, she'll get her into a rescue where she'll be spayed once her babies are old enough  :sneaky:  I've put a plea out anyway in the hope that someone will take her and her babies, and will then get mum sorted out once her babes are ready for rehoming.

Wish I could help out on this one but after Dawn not needing me for the Derby kittens, just half an hour ago picked up "mum" (I think) and four day old kittens so I'm chocca at the moment.

I suppost the woman thinks she's offering a bargain with five cats for £100!!!!! :censored: :censored: :censored:

And what's the betting, they'll go to the first person with the readies, kittens will then be sold on at 6 weeks and mum will be pregnant again  :censored:  :censored:  :censored:  :censored:

I love the way someone can be this irresponsible about what happens to kitty and her babbies and yet still be bother to mention about them staying with mum for 7 weeks! Caring owner my  :censored:

Not sure if this is the rignt thing to say.. But i dont think rescues should be paying for cats in this situation..I hope that she can be convinced just to hand them over..

I agree 100%, the plea I've put out is to try and get whoever to persuade the seller to hand the mum and kittens over hopefully to a rescue, rather than sell them.  I must admit I get upset seeing all these posts and try not to look if I can help it as I feel helpless when I can't help  :'(

I know I'm miles and miles  away but if we can sort sommat and convince her to 'hand over' the family to a rescue then I'm happy to make space for this wee family as I have 3 kittens going next week which will free up a pen???    :Dont know:   ALthough I know not ideal with the stress of travelling.

I just don't see why her pockets should be lined and to be honest if she is genuinely concerned then she should see the benefits of putting mum and babies into rescue for vetted new owners!  :tired:   :sad no:

I've been given a number for a guy who's based in Nottingham and runs a rescue, I'm going to give him a ring now and see if he can persuade this woman to part with them or see if he has any other contacts with ideas.

I've had an email off Jon from http://www.brinsleyanimalrescue.org/ , he's prepared to help with mum and kits but not prepared to pay which is understandable.  I'll send him the details and see if he can get through to the lady to give them up to his rescue and I'll keep you posted

I've emailed Jon and I'll speak with him later, hopefully he can persuade the lady to do the right thing and if she does truly care about the cat/kittens and it's not a money issue, she will go along with Jon's advice.

I've had a lovely chat with Jon tonight and what a nice guy  :)  He's on the case and will try his damnedest to get this lady to part with the mum cat/kittens, if no joy, he said he will leave his number with her in the hope that she changes her mind or she gets stuck with them.  Fingers crossed this can be pulled off

I agree no money should be paid for these as if you do whats stopping her from doing it again and again. I hope she agrees to a rescue taking them on. please keep us updated.
