There is a British Blue neutered boy named Runzie needing a placement with a rescue, he's currently in Sheffield. South Yorkshire.
He's got a few medical issues, has a flea allergy and is described as a little 'scabby' and has a tooth problem.
His owner has had a relationship breakdown and is pregnant and cannot cope with 2 of her 3 cats, 1 has already found a home.
She has asked us to help with getting this boy into a rescue for the TLC he'll need and for his medical issues to be addressed. He's described as friendly but shy.
Any help on this would be fantastic or a nudge in the right direction.
Jodie .

Jodie, I'd recommend contacting the welfare officer for the British Shorthair Cat Club. The page with the relevant details is here: http://www.britishshorthaircatclub.co.uk/rescue.htm
You might also want to go through some of the area cat clubs - not entirely sure what's local to you. How far is Humberside to you? I know the welfare officer of the Humberside Cat Club and could put you in touch if it's local as I don't know how far out of area they offer rehoming.
-
Humberside is not far at all. That would be great if you could get us a contact.
We've contacted the BSH Cat Club so hopefully something will come up for Runzie soon.
:Luv:

I should stop looking here, it makes me want to nag oh!
Have you been in touch with www.british-shorthairs.co.uk ? They're the Southern British Shorthir Club but advertise rehoming all over the country.
There's another one too but it might be the one you've contacted. The lady who co-ordinates is called Pam. She knows her stuff and was really helpful to me-a complete stranger- when I lost one of my cats. She's the perfect example of a reputable breeder who does lots of rescue work too and her cats are amazing.
-
Jodie, I've e-mailed the welfare officer of the Humberside CC and will let you know when I hear back from her.
-
Have just heard from Penny who is the Humberside CC welfare officer - she'd be more than happy to list him on the rehoming section of the club website. She'll also be getting in touch with the welfare officer of the Yorkshire CC who is actually based in Sheffield.
I hope this is useful to you, Jodie. Can I just snitch the stuff off this thread and pass it on? I will need some kind of contact details however, so perhaps you could PM me or email me off the board?
-
Yep, no problems thats brilliant!
Runzie is 9 years old, and has been previously vax'd but it has now lapsed.
Will PM you now Reynard.
:)

I am really sorry we couldn't help him but we are bursting with raggies and other ped cats at the moment and are not getting anyone suitable to home them.
I hope the numbers I gave you have been helpful though

As I arrived to collect literally 30seconds before me the carrier lady was knocking on the door- Tag team is going well today.
Runzie is a stunner! we let him out to stretch his legs a little at Sam's, I also had the privilege of meeting to of Sam's stunner's!

Well Runzie is now on the final leg of his journey - Met Alison from Lincolnshire Wildlife and Animal Rescue. Runzie fell asleep bless him .... it was such a delight travelling in a car with a totally silent cat ... I'm so used to having Zephyr or Foxy yelling at the top of their voices!
It was lovely meeting Nicola ... Zephyr and Rossi came to say hello but of course Foxy was asleep and couldn't be bothered to pop down and visit! :innocent:
-
Aww soon be there then ;D
-
