Oh Ron, you need one of these :cuddle:

Is it the summer, kitten season or just plain humans I wonder.

Sadly I dont think we will ever win Ron, but we make a difference to as many lives as we can. We have taken 3 cats in this week too, problem is, all our enquiries are for kittens, so none of the adults are moving.

Same old merry go round I think Ron, we do our bit but we still get hit with an avalanche!   I know it can get you down from time to time, I know it does me, but we just have to remember we are doing out bit... and for all of us who are doing our 'bit' it does all add up... maybe not to quite enough... but at least we are trying!

No matter what we do it never seems to be enough and I know it can be depressing. It's just that when you see the face of a cat who feels safe for the first time in their life, or being given regular meals that they don't have to fight for, just for a moment it all seems worthwhile.
A short time ago, I had four cats in for dentals (I arranged them all the same day, only one starving period and one post op session!), when I went to get them, Mary ,the nurse, asked me to come around to the post op room to help her. I had had 1 for 4yrs, 1 for 6mths, 2 had been only days.
When they heard my voice they all came up to the bars talking and making such a fuss, Mary couldn't get over how pleased they were to see me. Needless to say it made my day and any doubts I had about what I do went out of the window.
