I dealt with a woman a couple of years ago now and got her cats spayed/neutered after waking me up at 4am in the morning to assist with her cat giving birth because the baby was stuck :sneaky: Anyway, mum's and babies got sorted out and I've bumped into the woman again today, and surprise, surprise she has 4 other cats, 2 females and 2 males and you've guessed it, none are done :brick: :brick: :brick: All the cats are of the same litter, just under a year old and both females are now pregnant >:( She said she can't understand it for the life of her as she kept them separate and the females only went out now and again  I'm going over tomorrow to see how far gone they are and hopefully something can be sorted. The cats are from a council estate and no doubt if they don't get sorted now, in a few months time, the kittens will be having kittens because she won't want to part with them, and will fail to mention to me when they are ready to be done :tired:

It will never stop Dawn.
Someone i know text me yesterday to say her Sisters cat had had kittens, now this isnt the first time, this women has 3 females who are always having kittens !
-
Fingers crossed - you might want to warn her of the risks of siblings mating.
-
<sigh> know the feeling dawn!!
Let us know how you get on when you pop over! will people never learn..???... eh... seems not!!
-
Ignorant woman. It's so sad that you and other rescues have to clear up after uneducated people.

Des, with this woman it's like talking to a brick wall :tired: She is nice enough don't get me wrong but sometimes I do wonder about her mentality. Her reason for not contacting me even though last time she was quite happy dragging me out of bed in the middle of the night, was because she'd heard I was really busy at the moment :tired: I told her regardless of that, when the cats need doing, they become priority and it's only a case of getting them booked in. If I thought for one minute, both mums and babies would be fine until they were old enough for rehoming, I wouldn't have a problem but I know for a fact the mums will be let out and she will refuse to part with the kittens. It will then end up if I don't chase her, the kittens will be pregnant and I'll have the same saga again and tbh, I haven't got time to be chasing people to get their cats done and I can't rely on them to get in touch with me. I've got someone else at the moment that has 2 unspayed females, she is a druggie and I've even gone as far as buying cat food for her, she constantly has excuses as to why the cats haven't been booked in. I have told her time and time again, I will get them in, pick them up etc etc but again, she has excuses >:( This woman is on the same estate so cats/kittens are a large problem on there, again, this is one where I will have to go and put my foot down, get the cats and get them in before it's too late :sneaky:
-
I've been to see these two little girls and they are both pregnant :tired: One is further on than the other and I have read the woman the riot act because I'm :censored: off with the whole thing. I'm going to pick them up after work tomorrow and they can go in with Cleo to see how far they are gone. If within reason, sadly they will have to go in :'( :'(
-
Fingers crossed for them DAwn. Will she be getting the males done?
-
She has no choice Des, they will be in next week.
-
That's good then.
-
Apart from the fact it will be muggin's taking them and bringing them back, I've had a bellyful of it this week >:(
-
I know the feeling - that is how I got mum and kits last week, to make sure that mum got done - they got their cat spayed, and looked after for 9 days, plus the baby they were keeping, for the grand total of £25, and we even lent them the carrier and picked them up, all they had to do was collect.

Do you think these people ever had sex ed at school? :evillaugh:

Probably not or half of them would sell their own babies :evillaugh:
-
I've had the two females in the vets and both are pregnant but are not too far gone. They are booked in along with the two males for next Friday, apparently the daughter wasn't happy as she wanted the kittens and my answer to that was if they want my help, this is how it's going to be otherwise I will be round there again in a few months because they are all pregnant again >:(
-
Is that want or sell >:(

-
They would end up keeping them, this is part of the problem and then the kittens will all be pregnant and it will go on and on. The 4 that are in on Friday are the last litter, I managed to get mum done but she was caught again when these were a few weeks old, she was meant to be letting me rehome them but couldn't part with them, and this is the result..........2 more pregnant females :tired: The other thing the mum was talking about was parting with the pregnant ones and just keeping the other 4 that they've got, this would then mean another 2 needing homes when there really isn't any need. She doesn't want them to have kittens but why didn't she contact me before they got :censored: pregnant >:( >:(
-
She sounds such a pleasure to deal with :brick: :brick:
-
Ohhh she is  :evillaugh:
-
Good luck for next Fri.
-
I really hope this will be the last ones I need to get sorted from this house :tired: I also went round to the druggies house this evening to collar her about her 2 females, but either they were out or too stoned to answer the door :sneaky:
-
These 4 babes are now in the vets ready for theirs ops tomorrow. Whilst I was in there, there was a kitten brought in that some :censored: :censored: had decided to throw out of a car window >:( >:( >:( Poor little thing only looked to be about 6 weeks old, he's being kept in for monitoring and he's also being treated for cat flu, I hope the poor little love will be okay. I gave him some food and a cuddle and he responded with a purr and a bite on my chin :evillaugh: :Luv: :Luv:
-
Lets hope this is the end of the situation!
-
I've just collected these babes from the vets, all are now done and are fine and have also been deflead and wormed as they were riddled. Nice that I didn't even get an offer of some money towards fuel even though I did getting on 120 miles in total for these cats :censored: Hopefully this will be the end of it anyway but I won't hold my breath :tired: And my car now has the pleasant aroma of tom cat   :evillaugh:
-
oh for :censored: :censored: :censored: sake - re wee kitten... when will some people :censored: grow up and start being human!!!!
glad you managed to get the rest sorted... the aroma of tom cat is just     innit?? wasn't that long ago I had 5 toms in the car at once... went all the way up the dual carriageway not breathing through my nose and windows open... car honked for days!!!
-
Glad they are all done.
-
No luck with the druggies I'm afraid :tired: Been round numerous times and I've had no joy in getting them to answer the door. Just popped round again now and the same but bumped into her as she was walking down the road :evillaugh: She's decided now she wants them to be older before she gets them done, she pointed out her aunty is a breeder and she will get them done for her :sneaky: I know this isn't going to happen, I tried talking some sense into her but it's pretty difficult when someone is stoned out of their crust  Anyway, I've told her to think about the health implications etc etc and she has told me she will pop and see me when she wants them doing :-: I will keep on at her until she gives in but it may take a while, I told her I had 2 spaces in the vets in the morning which I have and still she wouldn't go for it :censored: :censored:
-
Maybe you could swap them for a baggie
-
:evillaugh: I never thought of that :um: I wonder who I know who could help me out :innocent:
-
Whats a baggie ?
-
I reckon it would work dawn, could also offer a bottle of white lightning if they arent 100% on the deal :evillaugh:
Mags, what do druggies keep in little bags....
-
:-:
-
Actually we offered to get to 6month old unspayed females neutered this week, full cost, booked appointment everything they only lived a few foot fromr the vets and they never turned up this morning.. Rang them and they claimed wrong number..!!
What can we do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
That's typical Sharon but all you can do is your best and sometimes this isn't good enough :sneaky: It's like banging your bloody head against the wall with some people and even offering to pick the cats up, return them when spayed, they will still think of excuses :censored: It's making me wonder now what condition these cats are actually in :'(
