Knew this would come, its day 5 of Tackles confinement, hes in a huge lounge but of course he wants to go out, he doesnt do toys, any ideas of how to make his days less dull?
I do go in and fuss him twice a day and hes fed 3 times a day as hes quite under weight

Try him with some feathers and a Da Bird - even cats who don't usually play seem to enjoy these. Also some cardboard boxes
-
A radio, some good quality cat nip toys (not the type you get in stocking as these are not strong enough) mine also like valarien extract
-
My lot LOVE feathers ... and the best feathers are ones you actually "find" .... at this time of year there are lots of feathers about near use as the swans and geese are nesting.
-
Leo loves feathers but I worry as he I always catch him trying to eat them.. He just eats everything.. Ive had to take away his balls of foil, nail files & now feathers
-
Foxy and Zephyr regularly eat the smaller feather I bring home ... and too be honest I don't worry about it. It's no worse than catching a bird and eating the feathers.

a treat ball - that releases food on demand when rolled across the floor! the food reward stimulates the play instinct so you can gradually introduce additional toys as he comes to grips with the idea - in the mean time, the extra food will help him gain weight! But in the long term, remember to balance the extra food when calculating his long-term diet. :wow:

well forget that, Id let him out in the house to have a walk around, told OH not to open any windows so he takes the dogs and and leaves the door slightly ajar, cat has bolted
I just hope he will come back beofre next weekend :(
-
not the best solution -but at least kitty wiill have some fun - hope he is home by bedtime ....
-
no hes semi feral i suppose is best word, comes in to eat but nothing more we caught him to have him neutured and we move away in 2 weeks so i was keeping him in, if hes not back he will have to fend for himself.
-
He'll still be around Summer don't beat yourself up ... you're going to have to play it cool and be smarter than kitty! He knows he can get food at yours and you are obviously part of his patch so he'll be back! Can you borrow a trap.
I would tell OH that if Kitty isn't back in time for his appointment at the Vet then HE (OH) will be going in his place ;)
-
ohhhh no hes had his vet appointment, hes been done lol, i hope that means he will be less inclined to wander, only thing is hes been away for so long, spose he may well have another home
-
   lucky escape for OH then ;)
At least as an neutered boy even if you do have to leave him he will stand a better chance of moving in with another family as people are more inclined to accept a boy who doesn't spray everywhere.
Fingers crossed he comes back and you take him with you.
