What a day it is turning out to be, I have been asked to being in so many cats today I have lost count I remember 1 lot of 6, 2 lots of 3 and a few odd ons, then someone rang me about a dead cat near where I live and then to top it all 2 children have just brought me a very old cat they say they have 'found'. I am hoping the owner turns up for that one.

Yikes, that sounds like a day and a half... hope it gets better tomorrow

We have had one of those weeks too Ela, and sadly the calls are coming when we are incredibly slow at rehoming so space is a major issue. Although the person who has just rang is willing to consider an adult as we have no kittens, but she is going to ring back (as we run off an appointment system), fingers crossed she does.

Unfortunately the litlle ones owners has not turned up, what a surprise. Taken the now named Lucy to the vets just now for full bloods, so hopefully tomorrow morning I will know the score. She is so thin, you can feel all her bones.
-
Fingers crossed she just needs some good food

good luck with Lucy Ela, here's hoping you get some more luck heading your way soon
-
Fingers crossed for her.

The results are back, th only problem is she is hyperthyroid so she is having Felimazole for 3 weeks then the vet may operate. She will be going to a new fosterer in a few days, because I am going on holiday on the 13 th. However, she will be in good hands as the fosterer is a GP and also works in A & E. Now she has been with me a few days she looks much better and not as old as I first thought possibly only 10 ish.

although not all good news things look hopeful Ela. You're going to have to put a hold on though if you want to get away on holiday before you run yourself into the ground?!?!
-
Fingers crossed for her.

Thought you light like to see a pic of lucy. She looks so much better than when she came in but still so thin, although the pic does not show it. hopefully within a few weeks all be well.

Update on this little one. She is still not up to full strength and on medication as the vet does not feel he can operate. However the good news is that a lady in her 80's wants to adopt her. The lady has owner cats all her life and had to have her last cat PTS last Saturday and says she cannot live without a cat in the house. We will of course pay for all lucy's vet fees for life and as the lady lives near one of our fosterers when she needs to take Lucy to the vets there will not be a problem.

thats good Ela, hope they are happy!

I can't take all the credit, as when I went on holiday Lucy went to another fosterer and we thought it unfair to keep moving her around and although I received the initial phone call from the lady, the fosterer played a part in rehoming.
