I bought a single can in PAH to try. Although I assume it's complementary, it doesn't say so on the can. It says to feed 2 cans a day but lactacting queens will need more. I think it's quite dangerous as some people may think they are giving their cat the best when in reality it isn't complete?
-
Oddly though the box containing 12 tins says it's complementary.
-
Yes, although good quality meat etc, it is a complementary food I believe.
Max has it as an occasional treat to supplement his renal diet as he loves the chicken and cheese :)
-
Worrying that people might buy if for their pregnant cat (or any cat really) as main/only food :scared:
-
I never realised it was complemantary until someone on here mentioned it .... its not that apparent which is a worry.
You think you're doing a good thing with the meat content, but its still not complete.
-
I wonder if it's worth contacting them or the Petfood manufacturers assocaiation?
-
That's probably not such a bad idea Mark, it might make them aware that it is misleading and they should make it clearer on the packaging.
-
I thought they were gong to change the packaging to ensure that it said complementary? Perhaps they are older tins, and packaging will change as new stock comes in?
-
I thought that too Gillian

Maybe people in Thanet don't buy premium food. This is the branch where the chavs bought a live rabbit and gave it to their dog outside in the carpark >:(

I thought so too. The tins I had dont say they are complementary, but I did buy them last November so I had assumed they had changed the labelling since then.
-
It must just be the box that they changed. Since it says it on there but not the actual tins.
-
I think it should be on the tins if they are selling them as singles?

I totally agree.
-
Even on Zooplus, it doesn't actually say complete, just says about it being natural and therefore the ratios aren't balanced - a very confusing way of putting it I think.
-
Oh, I was thinking of ordering some of this from Zooplus. Perhaps I wont - £30 of complementary food will last us for a very long time indeed...
