Deborah
keep calm and no loud noises, try gently calling her with a re assuring voice, bring some nice smelling food into the room it may guide her back.
Is she behind a bath panel or within the cavity wall?

she's within the cavity wall, she moves around but i'm worried she can't find her way back. I've done all you said

Whatever you do make sure that you dont frighten her into moving further away, have you got a very soft light that you could put near the entrance hole but not shining in it and then just wait very quietly apart from gentle calls near her exit, you basically need to calmly guide her back to you and it may take time, other than that you are going to need help from professionals.
The day will hopefully come when you will look back on this and laugh, so chin up

OK, we got her out, thankfully there was a hole in the wall behind cardboard in the cuboard. She had managed to climb quite high up but I got her to jump down on my hands.
Oh god, I've got the worst headache now!
Thanks a lot Teresa. :Luv:
I really thought we had lost her!

aWWWW bless your heart, I can imagine your fear this morning, kittens are such little monkeys as you think you have everything covered and safe and they always find the place to get through...
Glad your both ok

Thing is, I think it's because she's in heat. She's been trying to get everywhere and into everything(poor wee thing doesn't know where 'out' is)!. She only 4 1/2 months old, it's far to young for her first heat, and the vet won't spay before she's 6 months old! Aaaargghh, well, she's not allowed in the bathroom anymore that's for certain...

Hi Deborah,
Glad you got her out - at least you knew where she was.
My kitten hid under the sink - we came down one morning and could not find her, frantically looking everywhere and thought she had escaped somehow. You never know what little hole they are going to crawl into next!

Just back from vets to find the good news.
Well Done Deborah, just make sure you brush off any dirt before she starts washing herself .
