Just a reminder about leaving catfood out in the heat too long. Flies love to lay eggs on warm cat food
-
They just love to lay em on cat food period grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
-
I hate flies......I am curious to know why the cats love the taste?

Tell me about it Mark -
Had to throw a tin away yesterday...~So food in fridge now !

Have to say that this is one of the time's when you know pouches are worth the extra! :shify:
-
I have started splitting pouches - Alice and Kylie shared this morning
-
I was thinking of doing that as my cats would not eat a full pouch in one go! Just means I will have to feed the 10 of them 4 xs a day!
OOps 9....one of them is dry only! :shify:

Ours eat wet food as soon as I put it down which is a blessing really in this weather.
I do leave dry down though, maybe I should just leave it until they ask for some,God I'll be on cat food watch all day now

Same here. They lick their dishes clean as soon as it's put out. So no problems with flies here! ;D

Yep, here too. Blip does not leave a molecule for the flies 8)
But the advice is good :)

Wet food lasts ages here. I'm going to have to work out a system here he has 1/2 a pouch both am and pm which can last ages. One thing I hates about working in a Cattery were the flies

I take up the uneaten nosh and put it back in a glass container (not too easy to get these days) and into a coolbag. Then it's not as cold as in the fridge but seems to keep better. We have a plague of flies so far this summer for some reason

Beavis has tirned his nose up at breakfast do into the firdge it goes!

We got some a few years ago from Ikea - not sure if they still sell them? They have lids with a rubber seal round.
I have seen some tubs in Wilkinsons that have gel in. You freeze the tub and then you can keep food cool in them.
