I'm nearly certain that LJs weight loss is down to his teeth, but if I'm wrong after reading a lot of info, it's apparantly common for cats with diabetes to develop CRF. Obviously, I'm very concerned abou this and want any information any of you may have on treatment of CRF in diabetic cats. If I do this now it means if I get the worst case scenario, I'll know what treatments are available and won't go into meltdown quite so spectacularly.

This is one of the best sites about CRF - and this link goes into details about CRF and diabetes http://www.felinecrf.org/related_diseases.htm

yes, that's a great site. The yahoo group link from it can be helpful too. It's mainly americans, but if you post your problem, someone will help you. There may be a dedicated group for CRF and diabetic cats too that someone knows about.
Have you had blood tests and urine test done to see if LJ has CRF as that may be a good first step?

That's what he's possibly going for on Monday, lift permitting. It could be his teeth, but I'll see what the vet says.

:luck: LJ, I third the recommendation for that site BTW ;D
