Our welfare officer is dealing with this poor puss.
This is an update on him.
Gizzy is a ginger tom that was bought to vets whilst I was there saturday morning. He is a very bad neglect case so he basically malnourished and dehydrated He also had an enormous belly which James on first glance thought might be worms I agreeded to take him on to see if anything can be done as even though he couldn't move he still purred when tickled! James called me Mondayy to say he was really suffering and needed emergency surgery as he was vomiting faecal fluid indicating a major obstruction James removed a mass that is either a piece of constricted bowel or a tumour, it has been sent off for analysis. He has survived the surgery and one of the nurses took him home overnight to give fluids and pain killers etc He is trying to fight bur has no reserves to fight with but is still purring So fingers crossed for him He has obviously tested negative for FIV FELV. So beware a big bill will be coming hope I did the right thing
Gizzy is although very weak is still with us.

Aww, I do hope he can win his battle.

Praying Gizzy will pull through

I am sure you did the right thing. I don't like to authorise PTS until I am sure that a little one will not be able to have a quality life after any treatment, as long of course that the treatment will not cause undue suffering.
-
You did the right thing CC fingers crossed for Gizzy he deserves a happy life

Sending lots of love and positive thoughts to Gizzy. This one touched a nerve after losing my little baby ginger Gizmo last year :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Best of luck to Gizzy, it sounds as though he is fighting to live as much as you are all doing your best to help him - I do hope the little one will be okay, sending positive thoughts :)
-
Ahhh bless him ... Poor little soul. Fingers crossed he will pull through it all and find the forever home he deserves.

RIP little guy. What a little fighter, purring til the end! Obviously still had faith in human kind. Makes me sad reading this but I know he's now in a better place.

I am so sorry it didn't work out for him, but at least he got a chance and was allowed to go peacefully at the vets, he is lucky for that. RIP little one.

Aw that's so sad that he didn't make it, I know I shouldn't read things like this because they make me so emotional but at least he was given a chance, bless him. Rest in Peace Gizzy x
